Cuando hacemos un compromiso con Dios es importante no darle la espalda cuando se haga difícil. Ana dedicó o consagró su hijo Samuel al Señor, y no se echó para atrás o cambió de parecer cuando perderlo le provocó dolor a su corazón (1 Samuel 1:24-2:11).
Cuando le entregamos algo a Dios, lo apartamos para que él lo use; se lo damos para que haga lo que quiera con él. Podemos entregarnos nosotros mismos a Dios o nuestras finanzas, nuestro tiempo y muchas otras cosas, y cuando lo hacemos, deberíamos mantener siempre esos compromisos.
La Biblia está llena de historias de hombres y mujeres que se dedicaron a sí mismos a Dios y no retrocedieron cuando mantener ese compromiso fue difícil. Daniel, José, Ester y Rut, son solo algunos ejemplos. Cada uno de ellos se dedicó a Dios y a pesar de las dificultades, no se dieron por vencidos. Como resultado, fueron recompensados por su fidelidad.
No hagas compromisos sin pensar seriamente si estás dispuesto a terminar lo que empezaste. Si estás a punto de darte por vencido y no cumplir con un compromiso hecho, te animo a seguir adelante, porque el resultado final va a justificar el sacrificio.
Oración:
“Padre, pido que me des las fuerzas para terminar todo lo que empiezo y todos mis compromisos. Siempre quiero terminar lo que comienzo y así mantener mi palabra. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
KEEP YOUR COMMITMENT TO GOD
Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

When we make a commitment to God, it is important that we don’t turn back from it when difficulty comes. Hannah dedicated or consecrated her son, Samuel, to the Lord and did not draw back or change her mind when losing him caused pain in her heart (1 Samuel 1:24–2:11).
When we dedicate something to God, we set it aside for His use; we give it to Him to use as He pleases. We may dedicate ourselves, our finances, our time, and many other things to the Lord, and when we do, so we should always keep those commitments.
The Bible is filled with stories of men and women who dedicated themselves to God and did not shrink back when keeping their commitment to Him became difficult. Daniel, Joseph, Esther, and Ruth are just a few of them. Each of these people dedicated themselves to God, and although they faced difficulties, they did not back down. As a result, they were rewarded for their faithfulness.
Don’t make commitments without thinking seriously about whether or not you are willing to finish what you begin. If you are in a place where you are about to give up on a commitment you have made, I encourage you to press on, because the end result will be worth the sacrifice.
Prayer:
“Father, I ask You to grant me the strength to go all the way through to the finish in everything I have committed to do. I want to always finish what I start and keep my word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
