Para un niño pequeño todo es maravilloso. Pero conforme crecemos, perdemos la capacidad de asombrarnos por lo increíble que nos rodea. Sugiero que capturemos lo extraordinario de nuestro día a día. Cuando vivimos con Dios, la vida nunca es trivial. Él siempre obra prodigios y lo único que tenemos que hacer es tomarnos el tiempo de verlos.
El sol sale cada día y es algo muy hermoso, pero pocos nos percatamos de ello. Tengo cuatro hijos saludables y todos sirven a Dios; eso también es maravilloso. Dave y yo hemos estado casados por cincuenta y cuatro años y, ¡guau, eso también es increíble! A veces nos afanamos procurando cosas extraordinarias, cuando la verdad es que lo prodigioso y lo bello están siempre a nuestro alrededor en todo lo que vemos y experimentamos cada día. Aprendamos a ver lo extraordinario en lo ordinario siempre. Te prometo que está ahí, solo hace falta buscarlo.

SEEING THE EXTRAORDINARY IN THE ORDINARY

To a small child, everything is amazing. But as we grow older, we lose sight of the wonder all around us. I would like to suggest that we recapture the wonder of everyday life. Life is never merely ordinary when we live it with God. He is always doing amazing things, and we simply need to take the time to look for them.
The sun comes up every day, and it is amazingly beautiful, but few of us pay any attention to it. I have four grown children who are all healthy and serving God, and that is amazing. I have been married to Dave for fifty-four years, and—wow—is that ever amazing! We tend to look for things that are extraordinary, but the truth is that amazing wonder is all around us in the things we see and experience each day. Let’s learn to see the extraordinary in ordinary, everyday life. I can promise you it is there if you will simply look for it.
Prayer:
“Father, You are truly amazing, and there is nothing mundane or ordinary about living life with You. Help me see all the extraordinary things that fill my life each day and to appreciate them. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
