Si eres hablador, igual que yo, puede que necesites leer con frecuencia el versículo de hoy y otros similares. Parece que mientras más hablamos, es más probable que digamos algo que luego deseemos no haber dicho. Le pido a Dios casi todos los días que guarde mis labios para que no diga tonterías (Salmos 141:3). Es bueno recordar que nadie, por sí mismo, puede dominar su lengua (Santiago 3:8) y que requerimos de la ayuda del Señor para lograrlo.
Simplemente, intentar hacer lo correcto sin ayuda de Dios, ya es inútil. Él quiere que nos apoyemos en él para todo y se siente honrado cuando lo hacemos. Jesús dijo que lejos de Él, nada podemos hacer (Juan 15:5). Esto sin duda incluye hablar con sabiduría.
Usa tus palabras hoy para animar a otros. Recuerda que tus palabras tienen poder, así que asegúrate de que sean positivas y beneficiosas para ti y aquellos que forman parte de tu vida.
Oración:
“Padre, necesito de tu ayuda para restringir mis labios y de ese modo pronunciar siempre palabras positivas y excelentes. Permite a mis palabras ser placenteras a tus oídos. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.

If you are a talker, as I am, you may need to read today’s scripture and similar verses often. It seems that the more we talk, the more we are likely to say things we wish later we had not said. I pray almost daily that God will guard my lips so I don’t say foolish things (Psalm 141:3). It is good to remember that no one, in their own power, can tame the tongue (James 3:8) and that we need God’s help in this area.
Merely trying to do what is right without asking for God’s help is useless. He wants us to lean on Him in all things and is honored when we do. Jesus said that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). This certainly includes using wisdom with all of our words.
Use your words today to encourage others. Remember that your words have power, so make sure they are positive and beneficial to you and to the people in your life.
Prayer:
“Father, I need Your help in restraining my lips so that I always speak positive and excellent things. Let my words be pleasing in Your ears. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
