Parte de nuestro privilegio como creyentes en Cristo, es recibir el poder del Espíritu Santo. Sin ese poder, nada de lo que hacemos tiene efectividad. El poder espiritual es la influencia que guía a la gente a aceptar a Cristo como su Salvador y a seguirlo. Podemos enseñar y predicar la Palabra de Dios de forma elocuente, pero aun así hacerlo sin el poder del Espíritu Santo. Puede que nuestras palabras incluso conmuevan a las personas, pero no espiritualmente. Pablo le recordó a los Tesalonicenses que el evangelio no les llegó solo en palabras, sino en poder (1 Tesalonicenses 1:5).
El Espíritu Santo es la tercera persona de la Trinidad. Él nos otorga el poder de Dios y nos permite hacer grandes cosas. Él habla a través de aquellos que comparten la Palabra de Dios y ministran a quienes la escuchan. Debemos depender del Espíritu Santo para que nos fortalezca y ayude en todo lo que hacemos. Él camina junto a nosotros, vive en nosotros y nos permite hacer todo lo que necesitamos hacer en la vida.
Ora a diario, para ser colmado del poder del Espíritu Santo y disfrutar de los beneficios de todos sus dones. Su poder y sus dones te permitirán ayudar a las personas que están perdidas y necesitan de Cristo. Jesús nos prometió este poder justo antes de ascender al cielo y nunca deberíamos contentarnos de vivir sin él.
Oración:
“Padre, necesito desesperadamente que el poder del Espíritu Santo me llene cada momento de cada día. Te pido que me bautices con el Espíritu Santo y me otorgues los dones que él desea que tenga para que así pueda servirte eficazmente y ayude a aumentar tu reino. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
SPIRITUAL POWER
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.
—ACTS 1:8
Part of our privilege as believers in Christ is to receive the power of the Holy Spirit. Without that power, nothing we do is effective. Spiritual power is the influence that leads people to accept Christ as their personal Savior and follow Him. We may teach and preach God’s Word, and do so eloquently, but still be devoid of the power of the Holy Spirit. Our words may even move people emotionally, but they do not move them spiritually. Paul reminded the Thessalonians that the gospel did not come to them in word only, but in power (1 Thessalonians 1:5).
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He brings us the power of God and enables us to do great things. He speaks through those who speak the Word and ministers to those who hear it. We should depend on the Holy Spirit to strengthen us and to help us in everything we do. He is the one who walks alongside us, lives in us, and enables us to do all that we need to do in life.
Pray daily to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit and to enjoy the benefits of all of the gifts of the Spirit. His power and gifts will enable you to help people who are lost and in need of Christ. Jesus promised us this power right before He ascended to heaven, and we should never be content to live without it.
Prayer:
“Father, I desperately need the power of the Holy Spirit filling me every moment of every day. I ask that You baptize me with the Holy Spirit and grant me the gifts He desires for me to have so I may effectively serve You and help increase Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
