¿No te he dicho que si crees, verás la gloria de Dios? —JUAN 11:40
El versículo de hoy es parte de la historia de cuando Jesús levantó a su amigo Lázaro de los muertos (Juan 11:1-44).
Habla de la gloria de Dios, la cual es una manifestación de su excelencia. Jesús sabía que Lázaro estaba enfermo, y aun así esperó hasta que él muriera para responder a los llamados de auxilio. Tenía la intención de hacer un gran milagro, pero para hacerlo, necesitaba que los amigos y familiares de Lázaro siguieran creyendo sin importar qué tan mala pareciera la situación. Cuando Jesús llegó a sanar a Lázaro, la gente le dijo que era demasiado tarde. ¿Sientes que es demasiado tarde para ti? ¿Alguna situación se ha tornado tan mala que dudas de que Dios pueda hacer algo al respecto? Te animo a seguir creyendo. Incluso si Dios no resuelve las circunstancias que enfrentas hoy, él puede extraer algo bueno de ellas para ti.
Cuando Jesús llegó a la tumba de Lázaro, ya este llevaba cuatro días muerto y la gente le dijo que el cuerpo ya comenzaba a oler. Pero Jesús le pidió a alguna de las personas que lo rodeaban, que rodaran la piedra que cubría la entrada a la tumba de su amigo. Creo que es muy interesante el hecho de que quería que fuera la gente quien quitara la piedra, a pesar de que hubiera sido muy fácil para él mismo. Sin embargo, deseaba que actuaran en su fe para que él pudiera realizar el milagro.
Dios quiere que creamos para obrar a nuestro favor.
Sigue creyendo, no importa cuánto tiempo tengas que esperar. Y que no te mueva exclusivamente lo que puedas ver.
Oración:
“Padre, quiero creer en tu Palabra en todo momento. Incluso si no me das lo que quiero, confío en que me darás algo aún mejor. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
BELIEVING GOD
Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?
—JOHN 11:40
Today’s scripture is part of the story of Jesus’ raising His friend Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1–44).
It mentions God’s glory, which is the manifestation of His excellence. Jesus knew that Lazarus was sick, but He waited until he had died before responding to calls for His help. He intended to do a great miracle, but to do so, He needed Lazarus’s family and friends to keep believing, no matter how bad the situation looked.
When Jesus arrived to heal Lazarus, people said it was too late. Do you feel like it is too late for you? Has a certain situation become so bad that you wonder if God can do anything about it? I encourage you to keep believing. Even if God doesn’t fix your current circumstances, He can bring something good out of them.
By the time Jesus reached Lazarus’s tomb, Lazarus had been dead for four days, and He was told that the deceased body had already begun to smell. But Jesus told the people nearby to roll away the stone. I think it is very interesting that He wanted the people to roll away the stone when doing so would have been easy for Him in the process of raising Lazarus. However, He wanted the people to act on their faith so He could perform the miracle.
God wants us to believe, and He will work on our behalf. Keep believing, no matter how long you have to wait, and don’t be moved only by what you see.
Prayer:
“Father, I want to believe Your Word at all times. Even if You don’t give me what I want, I trust that You will give me something even better. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
