Entonces le respondió: Ah, señor mío, ¿con qué salvaré yo a Israel? He aquí que mi familia es pobre en Manasés, y yo el menor en la casa de mi padre. —JUECES 6:15
La forma en que nos vemos a nosotros mismos determina qué tan lo lejos llegaremos en la vida y si seremos o no obedientes a lo que Dios nos llama a hacer. Dios le pidió a Gedeón salvar a Israel de sus enemigos, los madianitas, pero Gedeón estaba seguro de que Dios había escogido al hombre equivocado. Él se veía a sí mismo como un hombre pequeño, débil e incapaz. El Señor le aseguró a Gedeón que él estaría a su lado y derribaría a los madianitas, pero incluso entonces, Gedeón tenía dudas y quería que Dios le diera señales milagrosas como prueba de que tendría éxito (Jueces 6:17, 36:40).
Al igual que Gedeón, el miedo y la duda nos impiden que hagamos y seamos quien Dios nos ofrece. Millones de personas viven muy por debajo del nivel al cual podrían llegar, si tan solo se vieran a sí mismos como Dios los ve.
Dios nunca llama a nadie a hacer algo sin darle la habilidad y la fuerza que necesita para hacerlo. Él quiere trabajar con y a través de su pueblo y nuestra parte es rendirnos a su voluntad, avanzando con fe en que él nunca va a fallarnos.
Déjame preguntarte: ¿cómo te ves a ti mismo? El diablo quiere hacerte sentir insignificante, pero la verdad es que tienes el poder de Dios en ti y eres capaz de más de lo que puedas imaginar. Te animo a no escuchar al temor y la duda, sino dejar que Dios te guíe a grandes cosas.
Oración:
“Padre, perdóname por todas las veces que he permitido que el miedo y la duda me impidan seguir adelante con tu voluntad. Me entrego a ti, y con tu ayuda caminaré en fe, confiando en ti para darme la victoria. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?
“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”

The way we see ourselves determines how far we will be able to go in life and whether or not we will be obedient to what God calls us to do. God called Gideon to save Israel from their enemies, the Midianites, but Gideon was sure that God had the wrong man. He saw himself as small, weak, and incapable. The Lord assured Gideon that He would be with him and strike down the Midianites, but even then, Gideon had doubts and wanted God to give him miraculous signs as proof that he would succeed (Judges 6:17, 36–40).
Fear and doubt prevent us, like Gideon, from doing and being all that God has for us. Millions of people live far below the level at which they could live if they could simply see themselves as God sees them.
God never calls anyone to do anything without giving them the ability and strength they need to do it. He wants to work with and through His people, and our part is to surrender to His will, moving forward in faith that He will never fail us.
Let me ask you: How do you see yourself? The devil wants to make you feel insignificant, but the truth is that you have God’s power in you and are capable of far more than you might imagine. I encourage you not to listen to fear and doubt, but instead let God guide you to great things.
Prayer:
“Father, forgive me for all the times I have allowed fear and doubt to hinder me from going forward in Your will. I surrender to You, and with Your help, I will walk by faith and trust You to bring victory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
