Una manera en que tu enemigo, el diablo, intentará mantenerte débil e inefectivo, es hacerte dudar de la Palabra de Dios. La primera vez que él atacó a la mente humana, le dijo a Eva: “¿Conque Dios os ha dicho?”. El primer error fue morder el anzuelo del diablo y entrar en conversación con él.
Como dice el versículo de hoy, el diablo es astuto; no siempre ataca nuestras mentes con ideas que son explícitamente impías donde reconozcamos que él está obrando. Es más astuto de lo que pensamos. En vez de burlarse o desafiar directamente lo que Dios había dicho a Eva, simplemente lo cuestionó. Cuando Eva respondió, él contraatacó con mentiras, apelando a su ego (Génesis 3:4-5).
Te animo hoy a ser tan fuerte en la Palabra de Dios que una pregunta del enemigo no te desvíe. Tan pronto el pensamiento venga a tu mente: “¿Conque Dios os ha dicho?”, responde citando la Palabra. No te enganches con el enemigo. Fortalece tus pensamientos y palabras con la verdad de la Biblia.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a no morder el anzuelo del enemigo cuando él cuestiona tu Palabra, en cambio, ayúdame a mantenerme firme en lo que tú has dicho. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
THE ENEMY’S CRAFTY ATTACK
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”
—GENESIS 3:1
One way your enemy, the devil, will try to keep you weak and ineffective is to cause you to question God’s Word. In his very first attack on the human mind, he asked Eve, “Did God really say?” (emphasis mine). Eve’s first mistake was to take the enemy’s bait and engage in conversation with him.
As today’s scripture says, the devil is crafty. He doesn’t always come against our minds in ways that are so blatantly ungodly that we immediately recognize that he is at work. He is slyer than that. Instead of directly mocking or challenging what God had said to Eve, he simply questioned it. When Eve responded, he countered with lies and an appeal to her ego (Genesis 3:4–5).
I encourage you today to be so strong in the Word of God that a question from the enemy will not sway you. The minute the thought comes to your mind, “Has God really said…?” respond by speaking the Word. Don’t engage the enemy in conversation, but reinforce your thoughts and words with the truth of Scripture.
Prayer:
“Father, help me not to take the enemy’s bait when he questions Your Word, but to stand firm on what You have said. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
