Tampoco dudó, por incredulidad, de la promesa de Dios, sino que se fortaleció en fe, dando gloria a Dios.

El versículo de hoy se refiere a Abraham (antes llamado Abram) y la promesa milagrosa que recibió de Dios. Dios le dijo que le daría una vasta extensión de tierra, hasta donde pudiera tender la vista en cada dirección, y que haría su descendencia tan numerosa como el polvo de la tierra (Génesis 13:14-18). Este tipo de promesas sería mucho para la comprensión de cualquiera, pero fue particularmente difícil para Abraham, porque él y su esposa Saraí eran ancianos, demasiado como para tener hijos. Además, pasaron veinticinco años entre el momento en que Dios realizó su promesa a Abraham y cuando finalmente fue cumplida.
Pero Abraham no permitió que sus circunstancias naturales o el paso del tiempo afectaran negativamente su fe en Dios. Incluso Pablo, quien escribió el libro de Romanos unos dos mil años después de que Abraham dejara de vivir, sabía la fortaleza de la fe de este último.
Te animo hoy a no vacilar en tu fe. No permitas al diablo llevarte a la incredulidad. Fortalécete en tu fe estudiando la Palabra de Dios, profesándola en voz alta y recordando que Dios todavía hace milagros hoy en día, tal cual hizo en tiempos de Abraham. Incluso si tienes que esperar más de lo deseado, lo mismo que Abraham, ten en mente que los tiempos de Dios son perfectos.

“Padre, creo firmemente en que tú aún eres un Dios hacedor de milagros. Fortalece mi fe de modo que no vacile o caiga en la incredulidad. Amén”.
DON’T STOP BELIEVING
Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God.

Today’s scripture refers to Abram (later called Abraham) and the miraculous promise he received from God. God had told him that He would give him a vast expanse of land—as far as he could see in every direction—and that He would make his descendants as numerous as the dust of the earth (Genesis 13:14–18). This kind of promise would be a lot for anyone to grasp, but it was especially difficult for Abram because he and his wife, Sarai, were very old—way too old to have a child. In addition to that, about twenty-five years passed between the time of God’s promise and its fulfillment.
But Abraham did not let his natural circumstances or the passing of time negatively affect his faith in God. Even Paul, who wrote the Book of Romans about two thousand years after Abraham lived, knew the strength of Abraham’s faith.
I encourage you today not to waver in your faith. Don’t let the devil pull you into unbelief. Be strengthened in your faith by studying God’s Word, confessing it aloud, and remembering that God still works miracles today, just as He did in Abraham’s time. Even if you have to wait longer than expected, as Abraham did, keep in mind that God’s timing is perfect.

“Father, I believe You are still a miracle-working God. Strengthen me in my faith so I will not waver or give in to unbelief. Amen.”
