A fin de que no os hagáis perezosos, sino imitadores de aquellos que por la fe y la paciencia heredan las promesas.

Vivir por fe requiere paciencia. Ponemos nuestra fe en Dios y él es fiel cumpliendo sus promesas, pero nunca nos dice el momento exacto en que veremos nuestras circunstancias cambiar. Si le rogáramos algo a Dios y lo recibiéramos de inmediato, no tendríamos necesidad de verdadera fe. Es en la espera que nuestra fe es examinada y puesta a prueba.
Mientras esperamos, el diablo nos dirá muchas mentiras. Sugerirá que Dios no nos ama o que está furioso con nosotros por algo malo que hemos hecho, y que es por eso que nada está cambiando. Él trata de sembrar la semilla de la duda en nuestras mentes, insinuando que las promesas de Dios son falsas. Es en esos momentos cuando debemos aferrarnos con firmeza a nuestra fe en Dios.
En el momento justo, Dios responde a nuestras oraciones y vemos la manifestación de nuestra fe. Dios no siempre llega temprano, pero nunca llegará tarde, al menos no según sus tiempos.
Oración:
“Padre, otórgame la gracia para esperar pacientemente por ti confiando que tus tiempos son siempre perfectos. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
FAITH TO INHERIT GOD’S PROMISES
So that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
—HEBREWS 6:12 ESV
Living by faith often requires patience. We put our faith in God, and He is faithful to keep His promises, but He never gives us the exact timing of when we will see our circumstances change. If we asked God for something and received it immediately, we would have no need for real faith. It is in the waiting that our faith is tested and tried.
While we wait, the devil will tell us many lies. He may suggest that God doesn’t love us or that He is angry with us for something we have done wrong—and that is the reason nothing is changing. He tries to plant seeds of doubt in our mind by suggesting that God’s promises to us are not true. These are the times in which we must hold firm to our faith in God. At the appointed time, God’s answers to our prayers and the manifestation of our faith will be seen. God is not always early, but He will never be late, at least not according to His timing.
Prayer:
“Father, grant me the grace to wait patiently on You and trust that Your timing is always perfect. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
