A Dios le preocupa más por qué hacemos lo que hacemos, que nuestras mismas acciones. Él quiere que nuestros motivos (el porqué de nuestros actos) sean puros. Cuando damos algo, debemos hacerlo por amor a Dios mostrando el aprecio por lo que él ha hecho por nosotros, no para obtener algo o por miedo a que, si no lo hacemos, seremos castigados.
Todo lo que hagamos debería estar guiado por el Espíritu Santo y su Gloria, no para jactarnos ni sentirnos bien por lo logrado. Cualquiera con un horario muy ocupado, podría eliminar actividades sin importancia y hacer tiempo para cosas más fundamentales, si tan solo analizara por qué hace lo que hace.
Nuestros actos deberían complacer a Dios no a otras personas y menos aún, realizarlos por sentirnos obligados. Nuestra fe debería motivarnos, porque sin fe es imposible complacer a Dios (Hebreos 11:6). Debemos asegurarnos de que servimos a Dios porque lo amamos, no para hacer que él nos ame. Dios ya nos ama y nada de lo que hagamos o dejemos de hacer cambiará eso. Tómate un momento y examina por qué haces lo que haces. Creo que esto te ayudaría a hallar más goce en tus actividades.

“Padre, quiero que todos mis motivos sean los correctos. Revélame cada motivo equivocado que pueda tener y ayúdame a hacer los ajustes necesarios. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO?
If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
—1 CORINTHIANS 13:3 ESV
God is more concerned about why we do what we do than about what we do. He wants our motive (the reason we do what we do) in all things to be pure. When we give, we should do it out of love for God and appreciation for what He has done for us, not to gain something or out of fear that if we don’t give, we will be cursed.
Everything we do should be led by the Holy Spirit and for His glory, not to boast or feel good about all we accomplish. Anyone who has an overly busy schedule could easily cut out many unimportant activities and make time for more important things if they would examine why they do what they do. We should do what we do to please God, not to please other people or out of a sense of obligation.
We should do all that we do in faith, because without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). We should always be sure that our service to God is done because we love Him, not to get Him to love us. God already loves us, and nothing we do or don’t do can add to or take away from that. Take some time and examine the reasons you do what you do. I believe this will help you find more joy in what you do.

“Father, I want all of my motives to be right. Reveal any wrong motives that I have and help me make any adjustments I need to make. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
