Los hornos de microondas nos permiten calentar o cocinar mucho más rápido, de lo que lo haríamos en hornos convencionales. Son convenientes, pero también sabemos que no todo se puede cocinar de esta manera. Hemos desarrollado tantas maneras de hacer las cosas rápido, que nos cansamos si tenemos que esperar por las que evolucionan poco a poco. Muchas cosas son etiquetadas: “instantáneas” hoy en día, pero no podemos obtener inmediata madurez espiritual.
La transformación toma tiempo y requiere que continuemos haciendo lo correcto una y otra vez, hasta que se convierta en parte de quienes somos. No convertimos nuestras vidas en un desastre con un solo error, del mismo modo que una decisión correcta no arregla todo de la noche a la mañana.
Debemos continuar haciendo lo correcto y no “nos cansemos, pues, de hacer bien; porque a su tiempo segaremos, si no desmayamos” (Gálatas 6:9). Jesús dijo que, si “permanecemos” en su Palabra, conoceremos la verdad y ella nos hará libres (Juan 8:31-32). Para que Dios siempre ocupe el primer lugar en nuestras vidas, debemos reordenar nuestras prioridades y estar dispuestos a soltar las cosas que consumen nuestro tiempo sin producir buen fruto. Heredamos las promesas de Dios a través de “la fe y la paciencia” (Hebreos 6:12). Regocíjate en los avances que haces en tu vida espiritual, sin desmotivarte por lo lejos que tienes que ir.
Oración:
“Padre, sé que tus tiempos son perfectos, por ello quiero ir más despacio y ser feliz con los avances que haga en lugar de frustrarme por no haber llegado a mi destino. Ayúdame. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
NO OVERNIGHT SUCCESSES
The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little. You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you.

Microwave ovens enable us to heat or cook things much faster than we can prepare them in conventional ovens. They are convenient, but we also know that not everything can be microwaved. We have developed so many ways to do things faster that we have grown weary of waiting on things to develop little by little. Many things carry the claim that they are “instant” these days, but we cannot have instant spiritual maturity.
Transformation takes time and requires us to continue doing the right thing over and over until it becomes part of who we are. We didn’t do something wrong one time and get our lives into a mess, and we cannot make one right decision and have everything fixed overnight.
We are to continue to do right and “not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). Jesus said that if we “continue” in His Word, we will “know the truth” and it would make us free (John 8:31–32 KJV). In order to keep God first in our lives, we have to rearrange our priorities and be willing to let go of the things that waste our time without producing good fruit. We inherit God’s promises through “faith and patience” (Hebrews 6:12). Rejoice in the progress you make in your spiritual life, and don’t become discouraged about how far you have to go.
Prayer:
“Father, I know that Your timing is perfect, and I want to slow down and be happy with the progress I am making instead of being frustrated that I have not arrived at my destination. Help me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
