En la Biblia, la luz se asocia con Dios y su bondad, mientras que la oscuridad es un símbolo del enemigo y su malvada obra. Considera los siguientes pasajes del Nuevo Testamento que hablan sobre la luz. Jesús se refiere a sí mismo como luz en Juan 8:12: “Yo soy la luz del mundo; el que me sigue, no andará en tinieblas, sino que tendrá la luz de la vida”.
El libro 1 Juan 1:5-7 dice: “Este es el mensaje que hemos oído de él, y os anunciamos: Dios es luz, y no hay ningunas tinieblas en él. Si decimos que tenemos comunión con él, y andamos en tinieblas, mentimos, y no practicamos la verdad; pero si andamos en luz, como él está en luz, tenemos comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de Jesucristo su Hijo nos limpia de todo pecado”.
Jesús nos enseña sobre esto en Mateo 5:16: “Así alumbre vuestra luz delante de los hombres, para que vean vuestras buenas obras, y glorifiquen a vuestro Padre que está en los cielos”.
Con estos versículos en mente, piensa con respecto a la escritura de hoy. ¿Qué hace el sol cuando sale con toda su fuerza? Da luz brillando intensamente. Porque amamos a Dios, podemos brindarle luz al mundo que nos rodea, representando a Dios de tal forma que otras personas puedan encontrar su camino hacia él.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a brillar como el sol cuando se eleva en su fuerza tan solo por mi amor por ti. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
BE LIGHT
So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.

In the Bible, light is associated with God and His goodness, while darkness is a symbol of the enemy and his evil works. Consider the following New Testament passages about light.
Jesus refers to Himself as light in John 8:12: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
First John 1:5–7 says: “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Jesus teaches about this in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
With these verses in mind, think about today’s scripture. What does the sun do when it rises in its strength? It gives light; it shines brightly. Because we love God, we can give light to the world around us, representing God in such a way that people can find their way to Him.

“Father, help me to shine like the sun when it rises in its strength because of my love for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
