Bienaventurado el varón que no anduvo en consejo de malos, ni estuvo en camino de pecadores, ni en silla de escarnecedores se ha sentado; sino que en la ley de Jehová está su delicia, y en su ley medita de día y de noche. Será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de aguas, que da su fruto en su tiempo, y su hoja no cae; y todo lo que hace, prosperará.

Según el pasaje de hoy, aquellos que se regocijan en la Ley de Dios, es decir, sus caminos y sus enseñanzas, van a ser bendecidos y fructificados. Salmos 1:3 dice, además, que serán prósperos en lo que hagan. El tercer versículo indica que la palabra “prosperará” significa que “alcanzará madurez”. Tener una vida de bendiciones, fructífera y madura en Dios me parece fantástico, por tanto ruego a Dios que esta sea la vida que deseas tener. Puedes esperar esto si te deleitas en la Palabra de Dios.
La única manera de deleitarte en algo es permitirle llenar tus pensamientos. Te animo a pasar tiempo estudiando y meditando la Palabra de Dios, dándole vueltas en tu cabeza. Su Palabra está llena de verdad, llena de poder y de sabiduría, y también llena de promesas para ti. Pensar en la Palabra de Dios te fortalecerá, porque no solo te permitirá conocer La voluntad de Dios, sino que también te enseñará cómo cumplir con ella. Esto aumentará tu paz y tu confianza y te llenará de la fe y la esperanza que necesitas para experimentar la bendecida, productiva, madura existencia, que Dios ha creado y te ha llamado a vivir.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a tener una vida fructífera y madura, mientras me deleito y medito tu Palabra. En el nombre de Jesús, Amén”.
DELIGHT IN GOD’S WORD
Blessed is the one… whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
—PSALM 1:1–3
According to today’s passage, those who delight themselves in God’s law, meaning His ways and His teachings, will be blessed and fruitful. In addition, verse 3 says that they prosper in what they do. In the Amplified Bible, verse 3 indicates that the word prospers means “comes to maturity.” To have a life of blessing, fruitfulness, and maturity in God sounds wonderful to me, and I pray that this is the type of life you long to live. You can expect it if you delight yourself in God’s Word.
The only way to delight in something is to let it fill your thoughts. I encourage you to spend time studying and meditating on God’s Word, rolling it over and over in your mind. It is full of truth, full of power, full of wisdom, and full of promises for you. Thinking about God’s Word will strengthen you, because it will not only enable you to know God’s will, but it will also teach you how to do God’s will. It will increase your peace and your confidence, and fill you with the faith and hope you need to live the blessed, productive, mature life God has created and called you to live.

“Father, help me to live a life of fruitfulness and maturity as I delight in and meditate on Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
