Y al que sabe hacer lo bueno, y no lo hace, le es pecado.

Un significado de “ceder”, es rebajarse o conformarse con menos de lo que sabes que es lo correcto. La tentación de ceder nos persigue a todos. A menudo pensamos erróneamente: “un poco no importa”, pero Santiago dice claramente que saber lo que es correcto y no hacerlo, es pecado.
Si hacemos lo correcto, seremos bendecidos, pero si transigimos, renunciaremos a lo mejor de Dios. Creo que quieres hacer lo correcto. Cuando hacerlo es difícil y la tentación te rodea, confía en que Dios te dará su fuerza para resistirla.
Doblegarse es fácil y muchos lo hacen, pero Jesús dice que si le amamos, le obedeceremos (Juan 14:15). Creo que nuestro nivel de obediencia será igual a nuestro amor por Jesús. Puede que lo amemos un poco e igual transijamos, pero si lo amamos con todo el corazón y el alma, desearemos complacerlo en todas las cosas en todo momento.
Oración:
“Padre, perdóname las veces que he cedido y me he conformado con menos de lo que sé que es tu estándar de justicia. Perdóname y fortaléceme para ser capaz de resistir la tentación en el futuro. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
DON’T COMPROMISE
If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

One meaning of to compromise is to go a little bit below, or to settle for less than, what you know is right. The temptation to compromise comes to all of us. We often mistakenly think, A little bit won’t matter, but James clearly says that to know what is right and not do it, is to sin.
If we do what is right, we will be blessed, but if we compromise, we forfeit God’s best. I believe you want to do the right thing. When doing so is difficult and temptation is all around you, trust God for His strength to resist the temptation.
Compromising is easy, and many do it, but Jesus says that if we love Him, we will obey Him (John 14:15). I think our level of obedience is equal to our level of love for Jesus. We may love Him a little and still compromise, but if we love Him with all of our heart and soul, we will want to please Him in all things at all times.
Prayer:
“Father, I am sorry for the times I have compromised and settled for less than I know to be Your standard of righteousness. Forgive me, and strengthen me to be able to resist temptation in the future. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
