Antes bien, como está escrito: cosas que ojo no vio, ni oído oyó, ni han subido en corazón de hombre, son las que Dios ha preparado para los que le aman.
—1 CORINTIOS 2:9
El versículo de hoy es muy emocionante. ¡Los planes que Dios tiene para nosotros son tan maravillosos que no podemos siquiera imaginarlos! Creer en esto nos permite vivir con esperanza; en entusiasta expectativa de que algo bueno va a pasar.
Durante demasiados años viví con malos presentimientos, que es la expectativa de que algo malo con certeza ocurrirá. Este tipo de pensamiento puede apoderarse fácilmente de alguien que ha sufrido mucho dolor y desgracias en la vida. Como había sido víctima de abuso cuando niña y luego a los dieciocho años me casé con el hombre equivocado, los primeros veintitrés años de mi vida estuvieron plagados de decepciones. Crecí esperando problemas, afortunadamente, Dios me enseñó que él es bueno y está listo para hacer cosas buenas en mi vida, igual que en la tuya.
¿Qué es lo más maravilloso que imaginarías a Dios haciendo por ti? Ahora recuerda que él puede hacer incluso más que eso. Dios tiene buenas cosas para sus hijos y te animo a esperarlas expectante.
Oración:
“Padre, eres bueno más allá de lo que puedo describir y estoy agradecido por tus bendiciones. Me entusiasma ver lo que harás en mi futuro. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
LOOK FORWARD TO THE FUTURE
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him. —1 CORINTHIANS 2:9
Today’s verse is a very exciting scripture. God’s plans for us are so wonderful that we cannot even imagine them! Believing this allows us to live with hope—the aggressive expectation that something good is going to happen.
For too many years, I lived with evil foreboding, which is the expectation that something bad will surely happen. This type of thinking can easily take hold of someone who has had a lot of pain or misfortune in life. That was me. Because I had been abused during my childhood and married the wrong man at the age of eighteen, the first twenty-three years of my life were one long series of disappointments. I grew to expect trouble, but thankfully, God has taught me that He is good and is ready to do good things in my life, as He is in yours.
What is the most wonderful thing you can imagine God doing for you? Now remember that He can do even more than that. God has good things prepared for His children, and I encourage you to wait for them with expectancy.
Prayer:
“Father, You are good beyond anything I can describe, and I am grateful for Your blessings. I am excited to see what You will do in my future. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
