Job 10:21-22
“antes de irme para nunca más volver a la tierra de oscuridad y penumbra absoluta. Es una tierra tan oscura como la medianoche, una tierra de penumbra y confusión donde aun la luz es tan oscura como la medianoche”.
Muchos de nosotros en nuestro caminar por la vida hemos pasado por algún momento doloroso acausa de una mala desición que tomamos, pecamos en contra de Dios, de nosotros mismos y contra otros.
Así como Job en este pasaje bíblico nos sentimos en la oscuridad, en un laberinto sin salida, te sientes atrapado en el pecado y algunas veces nos sentimos que no somos dignos de ser perdonados.
El hecho que nos sentimos así es por lo que nos dice en:
Romanos 6:23
“Pues la paga que deja el pecado es la muerte…”
En el pecado solo encontramos dolor, oscuridad, desengaño, un vacío y muerte.
Pero aunque sintamos que todo es una densa oscuridad en nuestra vida, nunca tenemos que correr de Dios, no necesitamos ocultarnos y podemos ser completamente honestos con Él acerca de todo. De hecho, en lugar de apartarnos, ¡Él nos invita a hacer lo opuesto y a correr a Él! Promete no echar fuera a nadie que se acerque a Él, sin importar cuál sea su condición. Si se siente culpable por algo o ha fracasado por completo, corra a los brazos de Dios tan rápido como pueda. Él lo perdonará, lo restaurará y enderezará su camino. Dios es el único quien puede ayudarnos en nuestros momentos de desánimo, fracaso y temor; por lo tanto, es absurdo alejarse de la única fuente de ayuda que tenemos. Incluso si se siente un poco enojado con Dios a causa de las decepciones en su vida, corra a Él de todos modos. Cuéntele cómo se siente y pídale su ayuda. Jesús es capaz de entendernos porque Él también fue tentado y probado en todo. Él se compadece de nuestras debilidades y dolencias y, sin embargo, nunca pecó (vea Hebreos 4:15). Jesús sabe exactamente cómo usted y yo nos sentimos, y tenemos una invitación abierta para acercarnos a su presencia en cualquier momento. ¡Podemos venir tal como somos!.
Recuerda que Jesús te ha dicho:
Juan 8:12
«Yo soy la luz del mundo. Si ustedes me siguen, no tendrán que andar en la oscuridad porque tendrán la luz que lleva a la vida».
Oración:
Padre eterno
Dios inquebrantable, te doy gracias porque tú nos diste el derecho de ser hijos y sacerdotes del reino que tu luz a través de nosotros ilumine a otros hombres y que seamos portadores de tu luz admirable, de tu amor y tu misericordia, en el nombre de Jesús, Amén.
Light in the darkness!
Job 10: 21-22
“Before leaving, never to return to the land of darkness and absolute gloom. It is a land as dark as midnight, a land of gloom and confusion where even the light is as dark as midnight.”
Many of us in our walk through life have gone through some painful moment because of a bad decision we make, we sin against God, ourselves and others.
Just like Job in this biblical passage we feel in the dark, in a labyrinth with no way out, you feel trapped in sin and sometimes we feel that we are not worthy of being forgiven.
The fact that we feel this way is because of what he tells us in:
Romans 6:23
“Well, the wages left by sin is death …”
In sin we only find pain, darkness, disappointment, emptiness and death.
But even though we feel like everything is thick darkness in our life, we never have to run from God, we don’t need to hide, and we can be completely honest with Him about everything. In fact, instead of turning away, He invites us to do the opposite and run to Him! He promises not to cast out anyone who comes to Him, no matter what his condition is. If he feels guilty about something or has completely failed, he runs into the arms of God as fast as he can. He will forgive you, restore you, and make your way straight. God is the only one who can help us in our moments of discouragement, failure, and fear; therefore, it is absurd to walk away from the only source of help that we have. Even if you feel a little angry at God because of the disappointments in your life, run to Him anyway. Tell him how you feel and ask for his help. Jesus is able to understand us because He was also tempted and tested in everything. He sympathizes with our weaknesses and ailments, and yet he never sinned (see Hebrews 4:15). Jesus knows exactly how you and I feel, and we have an open invitation to come into his presence at any time. We can come as we are!
Remember that Jesus has told you:
John 8:12
“I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you will not have to walk in the dark because you will have the light that leads to life.
Prayer:
Eternal father
Unbreakable God, I thank you because you gave us the right to be sons and priests of the kingdom that your light through us illuminates other men and that we be bearers of your admirable light, of your love and your mercy, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
