Esperar a Dios no necesariamente significa sentarse en algún lado y hacer nada. Significa esperar expectantes a Dios. Te animo hoy a tener la expectativa de que Dios va a hacer algo espectacular en tu vida en cualquier momento.
Esperar a Dios puede incluir pasar tiempo con Él, decirle que esperas que él se muestre fuertemente en tu vida y que haga lo que nadie más puede hacer por ti. Pasar tiempo con Dios es muy importante para desarrollar una relación con él. Durante ese tiempo puedes leer y estudiar la Biblia. Puedes leer libros que te llenan espiritualmente o que expliquen lecciones de la Biblia. Puedes solo sentarte a mirar por la ventana y dar gracias a Dios por su creación. Lo bueno de pasar tiempo con Dios es que no hay reglas de cómo hacerlo.
El tiempo que le brindas a Dios es mucho más importante que lo que haces en ese tiempo. Solo enfoca tu corazón en el Señor y disfrútalo. A veces a mí me gusta sentarme a pensar en todas las cosas que puedo recordar que Dios ha hecho por mí en mi vida y darle gracias. A veces, prefiero simplemente sentarme en silencio y disfrutar de su presencia.
Esperar a Dios te da la fortaleza y el coraje para atravesar cualquier situación mientras esperas por tu oportunidad.
Oración:
“Padre, gracias por invitarme a esperar por ti. Ayúdame a desarrollar el hábito de hacerlo con regularidad. Estoy entusiasmado de ver lo que vas a hacer con mi vida mientras espero por ti expectante. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
WAITING ON GOD
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
—PSALM 27:14
To wait on the Lord doesn’t necessarily mean to sit somewhere and do nothing. It means to wait expectantly on God. I encourage you today to have an expectation that God will do something amazing in your life at any moment.
Waiting on God can include just spending time with Him, telling Him that you expect Him to show Himself strong in your life and to do what no one else can do for you. Spending time with God is very important to developing a personal relationship with Him. You may study or read the Bible during that time. You may read spiritually fulfilling books that teach or explain lessons from the Bible. You may also simply sit and look out the window and thank God for His creation. The good thing about spending time with God is that there are no rules concerning how to do it.
The time you give God is much more important than what you do during that time. Just set your heart on the Lord and enjoy Him. Sometimes I like to sit and think of all the things I can remember that God has done for me in my life and thank Him. Sometimes I like to just sit in the quiet and enjoy His presence.
Waiting on God gives you strength and courage to carry you through any situation while you are waiting for your breakthrough.
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for inviting me to wait on You. Help me develop the habit of doing so regularly. I am excited to see what You will do in my life as I wait for and expect You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
