El Espíritu del Señor está sobre mí, por cuanto me ha ungido para dar buenas nuevas a los pobres; me ha enviado a sanar a los quebrantados de corazón; a pregonar libertad a los cautivos, y vista a los ciegos; a poner en libertad a los oprimidos; a predicar el año agradable del Señor.

Obviamente Jesús vino a liberarnos. Eso es lo que el versículo de hoy nos enseña. Pero siempre que la libertad empieza a reemplazar al cautiverio, una batalla se inicia en nuestras mentes. La libertad viene de Dios y el cautiverio es del enemigo. El enemigo no entrega su territorio con facilidad. Cuando él ve venir la libertad, comienza a susurrar mentiras como: “nunca serás libre de ese viejo hábito” o “nunca sanarás del dolor de tu pasado; lo que te pasó es tan terrible que ni siquiera Dios puede ayudarte” o “es imposible dejar la adicción; vas a tener deseos de esa sustancia (o ese comportamiento) el resto de tu vida”.
No Importa lo que el diablo intente para mantenerte cautivo influenciando tus pensamientos en tu contra, puedes elegir enfrentarte a él. Según Santiago 4:7, cuando te sometes a Dios y resistes al diablo, él huye. No tienes por qué estar de acuerdo con lo que quiere que pienses, puedes seleccionar el camino de libertad que Dios te ofrece. Llena tu mente con la verdad de la Palabra de Dios y cuando el diablo intente hacerte prisionero, expresa esas palabras de libertad. Sigue escogiendo libertad y la tendrás.
Oración:
“Padre, gracias por enviar a tu Hijo, Jesús, a liberarme. Ayúdame a abrazar la libertad que me has provisto. Amén”.
CHOOSE FREEDOM
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

Clearly, Jesus came to set us free. That’s what today’s scripture teaches us. But anytime freedom begins to replace bondage, a battle begins in our minds. Freedom is from God, and bondage is from the enemy. The enemy doesn’t give up his territory easily. When he sees freedom coming, he will begin to whisper lies, such as “You’ll never break free from that old habit,” or “You will never heal from the pain of your past; what happened to you was so awful that even God can’t help you,” or “It’s impossible to get unaddicted; you’re going to crave that substance (or that behavior) for the rest of your life.”
No matter how the devil tries to keep you in bondage, influencing your thoughts to work against you, you can choose to stand against him. According to James 4:7, when you submit to God and resist him, he will flee. You don’t have to agree with what he wants you to think. You can choose to walk in the freedom Jesus offers you. Fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, and when the devil tries to keep you in bondage, speak those words of freedom to him. Keep choosing freedom, and you will experience it.

“Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to set me free. Help me embrace the freedom You have provided for me. Amen.”
