¿Alguna vez te has detenido a pensar que hoy es el primer día del resto de tu vida y que lo que hagas con él es muy importante? Tú tienes la capacidad de escoger qué tipo de día será este para ti. No permitas que los remordimientos de ayer arruinen tu hoy, recibiendo la misericordia de Dios. Dios adora los nuevos comienzos y su misericordia se renueva cada día. Suelta todo lo que esté atrás y enfócate en esta estupenda oportunidad.
Escoge hoy vivir con esperanza. La esperanza es una agresiva expectativa de que algo bueno está por ocurrir. La otra opción es la desesperación, la amargura y la negatividad, pero ¿por qué alguien querría vivir de esa manera? A veces la escogemos porque Satanás nos engaña, haciéndonos creer que somos los únicos que podemos solucionar nuestros problemas y nos esforzamos intentando hacer algo que solo Dios puede hacer.
Dios te regaló este día para disfrutarlo, no para sentirte miserable, frustrado o negativo. Si has caído en esas tentaciones en el pasado, hoy puede ser el punto de inflexión para ti. El Señor quiere obrar en tu vida, pero no puede operar a través de una actitud negativa. Dios trabaja a través de tu fe. Pon tu fe en él y persigue las cosas buenas de la vida. Haz de esto un hábito comenzando hoy.
Oración:
“Padre, perdón por los días que he desperdiciado siendo negativo y desanimado. Hoy es un nuevo día y escojo, con tu ayuda, la esperanza, estar positivo y ser una bendición donde quiera que vaya. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
—LAMENTATIONS 3:22–23 ESV
Do you ever stop to think that today is the first day of the rest of your life, and that what you do with this day that you have been given is very important? You have the ability to choose what kind of day this will be for you. Don’t let the regrets of yesterday ruin today, but receive God’s mercy. God loves new beginnings, and His mercy is new every day. Let go of everything behind you, and focus on this amazing day.
Choose to live with hope today. Hope is the aggressive expectation that something good is going to happen in your life. The other choice is to be hopeless, sour, and negative, but why would anyone choose to live that way? We choose it sometimes because Satan deceives us into thinking that we are the only ones who can solve our own problems, and we work to try to do what only God can do.
God gave you this day to enjoy, not to be miserable, frustrated, and negative. If you have fallen for those temptations in the past, today can be the turning point for you. God wants to work in your life, but He cannot work through a negative attitude. God works through your faith. Put your faith in Him and look for the good things in life. Make it a habit, starting today.
Prayer:
“Father, I’m sorry for the days I have wasted being negative and discouraged. Today is a new day, and I choose, with Your help, to be hopeful, to be positive, and to be a blessing everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
