Le descubrió, pues, todo su corazón, y le dijo: Nunca a mi cabeza llegó navaja; porque soy nazareo de Dios desde el vientre de mi madre. Si fuere rapado, mi fuerza se apartará de mí, y me debilitaré y seré como todos los hombres.

Puede que recuerdes la historia de Sansón, el nazareo que no cortaba su cabello; está en el Antiguo Testamento. No cortarse el cabello era parte de su voto de nazareato, pero también, la fuente de su tremenda fuerza física.
Sansón guio al pueblo de Israel por veinte años. Sus enemigos, los filisteos, tenían curiosidad sobre el origen de su vigor. Cuando Sansón se enamoró de Dalila, los líderes filisteos le dijeron a ella: “Engáñale e infórmate en qué consiste su gran fuerza, y cómo lo podríamos vencer, para que lo atemos y lo dominemos” (Jueces 16:5). Sansón se negó en varias oportunidades a revelarle su secreto, pero finalmente lo hizo. Luego de que le contara que su cabello era la causa de su enjundia, ella le afeitó la cabeza y todo su poder desapareció.
Tu fuerza también tiene un origen. No está en tu cabello o en cualquier otra posesión terrenal, o en alguna característica física o mental. Tu fuerza viene de Cristo. Cuando la necesites, no la busques en la tierra. Pídele a Dios que te empodere en todo lo que haces. Él siempre estará a tu lado.
Oración:
“Padre, que siempre busque en ti la fuerza que requiero, sabiendo que en ti encontraré lo necesario. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
THE SOURCE OF YOUR STRENGTH
So he told her everything. “No razor has ever been used on my head,” he said, “because I have been a Nazirite dedicated to God from my mother’s womb. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.”

You may remember the Old Testament story of Samson, the Nazirite man who did not cut his hair. Not cutting his hair was part of his Nazirite vow, but it was also the secret of his tremendous physical strength.
Samson led the nation of Israel for twenty years, and his enemies, the Philistines, were curious about the source of his strength. When he fell in love with Delilah, the Philistine leaders said to her, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him” (Judges 16:5). Samson refused to tell her his secret many times when she asked him about it, but he ultimately gave in to her. After he told her, she shaved his head, and his strength disappeared.
You also have a source of strength. It’s not in your hair or in any earthly belonging or physical or mental trait. It’s in Christ alone. When you need strength, don’t seek it in any worldly source. Ask God to empower you to do whatever you need to do. He will always come through for you.
Prayer:
“Father, may I always look to You for the strength I need, knowing that I will find everything I need in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
