THE HOLY SPIRIT
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
—JOHN 14:26 ESV
Understanding the ministry of the Holy Spirit is very important. He lives in you as a believer in Jesus, and He is your Helper. He wants to help you with everything in your life, but He waits to be invited before getting involved. He also reminds us of truths and lessons God’s Word teaches us and brings Scripture verses or passages to our remembrance when we need them to encourage us or give us direction.
The Holy Spirit frequently speaks to us or answers our questions by reminding us of a scripture that speaks to our situation. He is the Spirit of truth, and He teaches us all truth (John 16:13). We can depend on Him to guide us, and our part is to follow His leading.
The Holy Spirit is also our Comforter (John 14:16–17 AMP). What a blessing to have a Comforter living within us, one who can help us navigate the conditions of the world in which we currently live. I think we would be overwhelmed by life’s situations if we didn’t have Him to help and comfort us. Learn as much about the Holy Spirit as you can, speak with Him often, and thank God regularly for sending His Holy Spirit to be with us until Jesus returns to take us to our heavenly home.
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for the Holy Spirit. I want to follow His guidance and to receive His help and comfort. Help me learn more about Him and enjoy rich fellowship with Him. Amen.”
