Jesús vino a la tierra para que pudiéramos disfrutar de nuestras vidas, pero eso no va a pasar a menos que nos demos cuenta de que la vida es un viaje que tiene muchos ingredientes e incluye mucho tiempo de espera. Muchos de nosotros solo queremos llegar a nuestro destino o alcanzar una meta, pero la meta, en realidad, es nuestra felicidad. Cuando llegamos al destino final, el viaje ha terminado y antes de que podamos darnos cuenta, queremos ya otro reto.
Todo en el reino terrenal opera según las leyes del desarrollo paulatino. La mayoría de las cosas crecen tan despacio, que nuestros ojos no son capaces de percibir ese crecimiento. Piensa en un árbol. Crece todo el tiempo, sin que lo notemos.
Dios pudo haber hecho que todo ocurriera rápidamente, pero no fue así. Creo que el motivo fue que solo apreciamos las cosas si tenemos que esperar por ellas. La expectativa del arribo de lo bueno, es lo que hace que sea tan emocionante. Te insto a que tomes la decisión de dejar la prisa y simplemente disfrutes del viaje.

ENJOY THE JOURNEY

Jesus came to earth so we could enjoy our lives, but it will never happen unless we realize that life is a journey that involves many different ingredients, including a lot of waiting. Most of us just want to get to our desired destination or reach our goal, but actually, the joy is in the journey. When we do reach our destination, the journey is over, and before long we want another challenge.
Everything in the earthly realm operates according to the law of gradual growth. Most things grow so slowly that the natural eye cannot even see it happening. Think of a tree. It is growing all the time, but we cannot see it grow.
God could have arranged for everything to happen very fast, but He didn’t. I think this is because we can only appreciate what we have to wait for. The anticipation of the good things to come is part of what makes them exciting. I urge you today to make a decision to stop being in such a hurry and simply enjoy your journey.
Prayer:
“Father, help me realize that my times are in Your hands, and to trust that Your timing is perfect. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
