Entonces viendo el denuedo de Pedro y de Juan, y sabiendo que eran hombres sin letras y del vulgo, se maravillaban; y les reconocían que habían estado con Jesús.

A veces la gente piensa que no tiene habilidad suficientes para servir a Dios, pero él busca disponibilidad antes que habilidad. Si Dios quiere que hagamos algo, él puede darnos cualquier habilidad necesaria para realizar la tarea. Nuestro Señor frecuentemente usa a gente que luce la menos calificada para una obra específica, pero Pablo nos enseña que él escoge a los débiles y nimios para avergonzar a los sabios (1 Corintios 1:27-28). Él quiere que la gente se sorprenda de lo que él puede hacer a través de quienes están simplemente disponibles.
No dejes al diablo convencerte de no tener calificación suficiente para que Dios te use. Dile a Dios que estás disponible para cualquier cosa que desee y está seguro de que la gracia y su unción (poder y presencia), ayudarán a hacer cosas que te asombrarán y sorprenderán.
Pedro tenía tanto miedo que tres veces negó que conocía a Jesús. Pero poco después, que el Espíritu Santo vino sobre él, Pedro predicó con audacia en las calles de Jerusalén y mucha gente quedó sorprendida pues era conocido como un hombre común.
Oración:
“Padre, quiero que me uses para tu gloria. Sé que no estoy calificado, pero te pido que me des la habilidad que necesito. Me apoyo y confío en ti y en nadie más. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
GOD USES ORDINARY PEOPLE
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished.
—ACTS 4:13 ESV
Sometimes people feel that they don’t have enough ability to serve God, but He looks for availability rather than ability. If God wants us to do something, He can give us any ability we need to do the job. Our Lord frequently uses people who seem less than qualified for a particular job, but Paul teaches us that He chooses the weak and foolish things of the world to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27–28). He wants people to be astonished at what He can do through those who are simply available.
Don’t let the devil convince you that you don’t have enough qualifications for God to use you. Tell God you are available for anything He wants you to do, and be assured that God’s grace and His anointing (His power and presence) will help you do things that will amaze and astonish you.
Peter was so frightened that three times he denied even knowing Jesus. But a short while later, after the Holy Spirit came upon him, he boldly preached in the streets of Jerusalem, and people were astonished because they knew him as an ordinary man.
Prayer:
“Father, I want You to use me for Your glory. I know I am not qualified, but I ask You to give me the ability I need. I lean on and rely on You alone. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
