¿Alguna vez te sientes invisible? ¿Sientes como si nadie te notara? Es probable que pienses: Quizás alguna ropa nueva hará que me noten. Y tal vez la ropa ayude. Por un rato. Pero entonces la última moda se vuelve noticia pasada, y otra vez te vuelves. . . invisible. ¿Quieres un cambio que dure? Aprende a verte a ti mismo como Dios te ve, con «. . . ropas de salvación. . .» y cubierto con «. . . manto de justicia» (Isaías 61.10, NVI).
¿Alguna vez te has sentido como un don nadie? Cuando te sientas así, recuerda lo que realmente vales. Recuerda a quién envió Dios para salvarte: «. . . fueron rescatados [. . .] con la preciosa sangre de Cristo, como de un cordero sin mancha y sin defecto» (1 Pedro 1.18-19, NVI). Si alguna vez empiezas a sentirte invisible o ignorado, recuerda esto: Dios te escoge para ser su hijo. Eso puede ser difícil de recordar a veces. Así que ora al respecto. Piensa en esa verdad. Deja que la forma en que Dios te ve cambie la forma en que te ves a ti mismo.
CRECER EN LA GRACIA
Dios escoge verte como su maravillosa creación. ¿Cómo eliges ver a tu familia y amigos? Cada uno de ellos es una maravillosa creación de Dios. Tu mamá, tu papá, incluso tu hermana y tu hermano. Encuentra algo que te guste de cada uno de los miembros de tu familia y amigos, y luego diles lo que te gusta de ellos.
God Chooses You
Do you ever feel invisible? As if nobody even notices you? Maybe some new clothes will get me noticed, you think. And maybe they do. For a little while. But then the latest craze is yesterday’s news, and you’re back to . . . invisible. Want a change that lasts? Learn to see yourself as God sees you—covered with the “clothes of salvation” and wrapped in “a coat of goodness” (Isaiah 61:10 ICB).
Do you ever feel like a nobody? When you do, remember what you are really worth. Remember what—or rather who—God gave to save you: “You were bought with the precious blood of the death of Christ, who was like a pure and perfect lamb” (1 Peter 1:19).
If you ever start to feel invisible or left out, remember this: God chooses you to be his child. That can be hard to remember sometimes. So pray about it. Think about it. Let the way God sees you change the way you see yourself.
GROWING IN GRACE
God chooses to see you as his wonderful creation. How do you choose to see your family and friends? They are each a wonderf”l creation of God. Your mom. Your dad. Even your sister and br”ther. Find something you love about each of your family members and friends—then tell them what it is.
