Que lo digan los redimidos del SEÑOR, a quienes redimió del poder del adversario, a quienes reunió de todos los países, de oriente y de occidente, del norte y del sur. (SALMOS 107.2–3)
Tener un nuevo hermano o hermana, hacer un viaje, lograr un sobresaliente, disfrutar de una fiesta de cumpleaños, la mayoría de los niños coincidirían en que estas cosas son buenas nuevas. Te alegran o te emocionan. Independientemente de lo pequeño que seas, las buenas nuevas merecen la pena compartirse. No quieres guardártelas para ti solo. ¿Qué diversión sería, entonces?
En muchos salmos, los escritores instaban a las personas a anunciar las buenas nuevas. Esto es bastante diferente del planteamiento de los locutores de hoy. Estos suelen informar sobre todo lo malo que ocurre en el mundo: disparos, tsunamis, incendios. De modo que resulta fácil centrarse en todo lo negativo.
Sigue el ejemplo de los salmistas. Los israelitas tienen mucho que decir sobre todo lo que Dios ha hecho por ellos, como salvarlos de sus enemigos, liberarlos de la esclavitud, proporcionar lluvia para las cosechas y bendecir a sus familias con salud. «Transmítelo», alentaban. «Deja que otros sepan de la bondad divina».
Alumbra el mundo con algunas de las cosas positivas de tu vida. ¿Qué buena nueva podrías comunicar hoy?

Señor, ¡hay tantas cosas buenas en mi vida; sin embargo qué fácil es centrarse en las cosas negativas! Gracias por todas las maravillosas bendiciones que me has proporcionado. Ayúdame a compartirlas con otros hoy y siempre.
Day 363 – Thankful for Good
News Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south. (PSALM 107:2–3)
Getting a new baby brother or sister, going on a trip, earning an A, enjoying a birthday party—most kids would agree these things are good news. They make you happy or excited. Good news, no matter how small, is what’s worth sharing. You don’t want to keep it to yourself. What fun would that be?
In many psalms, the writers urged people to announce good news. That’s quite different from the approach of newscasters today. They usually report on all the bad things happening in the world—shootings, tsunamis, fires. So it’s easy to focus on all the negatives.
Follow the example of the psalmists. The Israelites had a lot to tell about everything God had done for them, like saving them from enemies, delivering them from slavery, providing rain for food, and blessing their families with health. “Pass it on!” they encouraged. “Let others know about the goodness of God.”
Brighten the world with some of the positives in your life. What good news can you pass on today?

Lord, there are so many good things in my life, but it’s easy to focus on the negative stuff. Thank you for all the wonderful blessings you’ve given me. Help me to share them with others today and every day.
