Presentaron el niño a Elí. Dijo Ana: «Mi señor… Éste es el niño que yo le pedí al SEÑOR, y él me lo concedió. Ahora yo, por mi parte, se lo entrego al SEÑOR. Mientras el niño viva, estará dedicado a él». Entonces Elí se postró allí ante el SEÑOR.

Samuel fue uno de los niños más valientes de la Biblia. Y es que fue un milagro de Dios y por ello su mamá dedicó su vida al grupo de trabajo especial de Dios. Samuel había ido a vivir al tabernáculo que estaba bajo el mando de Elí, el sacerdote de todo el país. Tan pronto como llegó, el niño inició su entrenamiento para Dios. Aunque había abandonado su casa, no le asustó estar en un nuevo lugar. Cuando tenía más o menos tu edad, aceptó una gran misión de Dios. Un día, él también se convertiría en sacerdote.
¿Puedes imaginar ir a una misión para Dios cuando cumplas los doce años? Puede ser que no te envíe a otro país, pero a él no le importa la edad que tengas. Él usa a todo tipo de personas de todas las edades para llevar sus mensajes al mundo. ¿Estás listo para su misión? Tal vez también tendrás una misión como la de Samuel, cuando todavía eres pequeño. Prepárate.
Oración
Amado Señor, no sé si estoy preparado para una gran misión. Te ruego que me prepares para hacer cualquier cosa que tú me pidas. Quiero aceptar tu misión.
Day 326 – Special Mission
They brought the boy to Eli, and [Hannah] said to him, “Pardon me, my lord … I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there.

Samuel was one of the bravest boys in the Bible. Because Samuel was a miracle from God, his mom dedicated Samuel’s life to God’s special task force. Samuel had gone to live at the tabernacle under the high command of Eli, the priest of the whole country. As soon as he arrived, Samuel started his training for God. Even though he left home, Samuel wasn’t afraid to be in a new place. When he was about your age, Samuel accepted a big mission from God. One day he too would become a priest.
Can you imagine going off on a mission for God when you turn twelve? God may not send you to another country, but he doesn’t care how old you are. He uses all kinds of people and all ages to bring his messages to the world. Are you ready for his assignment? Maybe you too will have a mission like Samuel when you are young. Get ready.
Prayer
Dear God, I don’t know if I’m ready for a big mission. Will you prepare me to do whatever you ask me to do? I want to accept your mission.
