Tengan cuidado de cómo se comportan. Vivan como gente que piensa lo que hace, y no como tontos. Aprovechen cada oportunidad que tengan de hacer el bien, porque estamos viviendo tiempos muy malos.

Alguien dijo una vez: «El ayer es pasado. Mañana es futuro. Hoy es un presente, un regalo. Por eso se le llama presente».
Esto es más que un juego de palabras. El hoy es un regalo de Dios para ti. Está envuelto y lleva un lazo. ¡Hasta lleva tu nombre! Pero tú tienes una elección. ¿Lo dejarás sobre la mesa o desenvolverás el presente y lo disfrutarás?
No volverás a tener el presente de nuevo. Dios quiere que hagas elecciones sabias y que vivas cada día como si fuera un regalo. (El hecho de que estés leyendo tu Biblia hoy es un buen comienzo.)
Por tanto, así como empezarías a usar un regalo tan pronto como lo abrieras y lo exhibirías, háblale a Dios sobre este día. ¿Qué ha planeado para hoy? ¿A qué te enfrentarás? Pídele que te ayude a disfrutarlo, usa la sabiduría, mantente apartado de las malas influencias y defiende lo que es bueno.
Al final del día, vuelve a pensar en lo que hiciste. Es posible que Dios te haya enviado una bendición o un desafío. ¿Has sido capaz de verlos tal como eran y has dejado que él te guiara a través de ellos?
Oración
Señor, gracias por el día de hoy y por los dones que me has dado. Te ruego que me des sabiduría y que me muestres de qué forma puedo ser una bendición para los demás.
Day 305 – The Gift of the Present
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
(EPHESIANS 5:15–16)
Someone once said, “Yesterday is the past. Tomorrow is the future. Today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.”
That’s more than just a play on words. Today is God’s gift to you. It’s wrapped up with a bow. It even has your name on it! But you have a choice. Will you leave it on the table, or will you unwrap the present and enjoy it?
You will never get today back again. God wants you to make wise choices and live your day as though it is a gift. (The fact that you are reading your Bible today is a good start.)
So just like you would start using a gift as soon as you open it and show it off, talk to the Lord about this day. What is planned for today? What will you be facing? Ask him to help you enjoy it, use wisdom, stay away from bad influences, and stand up for what is good.
At the end of the day, think back on what you did. God may have sent you a blessing or a challenge. Were you able to see them for what they were and let him guide you through them?
Prayer
God, thank you for today and the gifts you have given me. Please give me wisdom and show me how I can be a blessing to others.
