Inclínate sobre el borde de un lago o charca para ver con qué claridad refleja el agua tu rostro. (¿Vives lejos del agua? Llena un cubo e intenta hacer lo mismo.) En un día tranquilo y soleado, deberías poder distinguirlo todo, desde el cabello a tus orificios nasales y tus pestañas. Si el agua está agitada, todavía podrás ver el contorno de tu cabeza y reflejos arremolinados de tus rasgos.
Tu forma de actuar es como el agua. Refleja lo que hay en tu corazón. Piensa en los nuevos vecinos que has conocido. Basándose en cómo visten, hablan y se tratan unos a otros, podrías adivinar en qué trabajan o lo que es importante para ellos.
Esto mismo se puede decir sobre ti. Tu reflejo revela si te entregas a la tentación y no te arrepientes nunca; no podrás ocultarlo. Se manifestará en cómo tratas a tus hermanos y amigos, y en si obedeces a tus padres. Tu rostro y tus actos revelan lo que hay dentro de ti. Comprueba tu reflejo. ¿Está mostrando piedad?

Jesús, ¿qué refleja mi conducta en estos días? Me gustaría que fuera una buena imagen que te complazca, pero necesito tu ayuda.
Day 253 • Check Your Reflection
As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.
(PROVERBS 27:19)
At a lake or pond, lean over the edge to see how clearly the water reflects your face. (Live far from water? Fill a bucket to try the same thing.) On a calm, sunny day, you should be able to make out everything from your hair down to your nostrils and eyelashes. If the water is rough, you’ll still see the outline of your head and swirly reflections of your features.
The way you act is like water. It reflects what is in your heart. Think about new neighbors you’ve met. Based on how they dress, talk, and treat each other, you might be able to guess what they do for work or what is important to them.
The same can be told about you. Your reflection reveals whether you give in to temptation and never repent; you won’t be able to hide it. It’ll show up in how you treat your siblings and friends and whether you obey your parents. Your face and actions reveal what’s inside you.
Check your reflection. Is it showing godliness?

Jesus, what does my behavior reflect these days? I would like it to reflect a good image that pleases you, but I need your help.
