Este versículo no dice que todo sea bueno. En este mundo hay gran cantidad de maldad y la voluntad de Dios no siempre se hace. Sin embargo, si sigues a Dios y crees en él, él hace que todas las cosas —incluso las cosas malas— obren para bien.
Dios es mayor que cualquier problema al que podrás enfrentarte, y tiene tus mejores intereses en cuanta. Incluso tomará un problema terrible y lo usará para algo bueno, de alguna manera. A largo plazo, él producirá mayor gloria. Por supuesto, resulta difícil ver cómo está obrando Dios en una mala situación mientras uno se encuentra inmerso en ella. Muchos ejemplos de la Biblia muestran lo siguiente: José fue vendido como esclavo, pero más tarde se convirtió en un líder que salvó a muchas personas de la hambruna. Daniel fue arrojado a un foso de leones, pero sobrevivió, asombrando al rey que al verlo adoró a Dios. El pueblo de Ester estaba condenado a morir, pero Dios la usó para salvarlos y delatar al intrigante.
Independientemente de lo que ocurra en tu vida, el resultado final está en las manos de Dios. Y esto siempre es bueno.
Oración
Señor, tú no prometes que todo será fácil ni que estaremos libres de problemas. No obstante, sí prometes estar allí conmigo. Tú tienes el control. Ayúdame a confiar en ti incluso cuando me resulte difícil.
Day 248 • Always Good
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
(ROMANS 8:28, ESV)
This verse does not say that everything is good. There is a lot of evil in this world, and God’s will is not always done. But if you follow and believe in God, God makes all things—even the bad things—work out for good.
God is greater than any problem you will ever face, and he has your best interests at heart. He will even take a terrible problem and use it for good somehow. He will bring out greater glory in the long run. Of course, it is difficult to see how God is working in a bad situation while you are in it. But later, you may be able to see what God was doing. Many examples in the Bible show this: Joseph was sold into slavery but later became a leader who saved many people from famine. Daniel was thrown into a lions’ den but he survived, astonishing the king who then worshipped God. Esther’s people were doomed to die, but God used her to save them and rat out the schemer. No matter what happens in your life, the final outcome is in God’s hands. And that is always good.
Prayer
God, you don’t promise that everything will be easy or problem-free. But you do promise to be there with me. You are in control. Help me to trust in you even when it’s hard to.
