¿Recuerdas la primera vez que fuiste de acampada con tu tropa de scouts o en un campamento de la iglesia? Cuando saltaste al agua y había bastante profundidad, lo más probable es que nadaras como un perrito con la mayor rapidez posible hasta llegar a la orilla. Si habías pasado miedo pensando que te podías ahogar, no lo admitirías nunca delante de los demás niños.
Cuando los israelitas huían de Faraón, se enfrentaron a unas aguas realmente profundas. El ejército egipcio les daba caza desde atrás y delante de ellos tenían el mar Rojo. No era una piscina ni una charca. Era como un océano. Estaban atrapados y no sabían qué hacer. Pero Dios dividió el mar y proporcionó a los israelitas una senda seca por la que cruzar. ¡No veas qué alivio! También se sintieron agradecidos.
Es posible que te estés enfrentando a un problema que parece imposiblemente enorme. Tal vez tenga que ver con amigos, con el trabajo escolar o con algo en lo que no puedas dejar de pensar. Te fastidia gran parte del tiempo y no saber con quién hablar al respecto. Como el mar Rojo, ¡es demasiado grande para que lo puedas cruzar tú solo!
La buena noticia es que no tienes por qué gestionar el problema solo. Pídele al Señor que «separe las aguas». Sé sincero con él sobre lo que está ocurriendo. Esta es la genialidad de la oración. Puedes decirle a Dios cualquier cosa. Él tiene la solución. ¡Ya lo verás!
Oración
Señor, me siento tan feliz sabiendo que escuchas cuando oro. Dame la fe de confiar en ti en mis problemas del tamaño del mar.
Day 244 • Help, Please!
He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot—come, let us rejoice in him.
(PSALM 66:6)
Remember the first time you went camping with your scout troop or church camp? When you jumped into water that was more than a few feet deep, it’s likely that you dog-paddled as fast as you could to the edge. If you were afraid you might drown, you wouldn’t admit it to the other kids.
Back when the Israelites fled from Pharaoh, they faced really deep water. The Egyptian army was chasing them from behind, and the Red Sea was in front of them. It wasn’t a swimming pool or a pond. It was like an ocean. They were trapped and didn’t know what to do. But God divided the sea and gave the Israelites a dry path to get across. Boy, were they relieved. They were grateful too.
It’s possible you are facing a problem that seems impossibly huge. It might have to do with friends or schoolwork or something you can’t stop thinking about. It bugs you big time, and you don’t know who to talk to about it. Like the Red Sea, it’s way too big to cross by yourself.
The good news is that you don’t have to handle this problem alone. Ask the Lord to “part the waters.” Be honest with him about what’s going on. That’s the cool thing about prayer. You can tell God anything. He has a solution. You’ll see!

Lord, I’m so glad you are listening when I pray. Give me the faith to trust you for my sea-size problems.
