Él, en cambio, conoce mis caminos; si me pusiera a prueba, saldría yo puro como el oro.

¿Te has sentido alguna vez abandonado por Dios? Es un sentimiento normal, sobre todo cuando te ha cegado una decepción inesperada. Cuando tu perro muere, tu mejor amigo se muda o te enteras de que tu abuela padece de cáncer, también te sientes así de solo. O si alguna vez te han acusado de hacer algo que no has hecho, sufres de mala manera. Luego están esos momentos en que acabas sufriendo por algo tonto que otro ha cometido. No puedes evitar preguntarte dónde está Dios en momentos como esos. Se diría que no está al corriente. Parecería que no le importa.
Esa fue la experiencia de Job. Era un buen hombre que amaba a Dios. Tenía una vida envidiable. Sin embargo, como por arte de magia surgió la oscuridad. A pesar de ello, Job no se convirtió en un hombre amargado. Las ardientes pruebas a las que se enfrentó revelaron una fe preciosa que brillaba como oro. Job estaba convencido de que Dios sabía con exactitud lo que se estaba produciendo en su vida. Fue capaz de creer que Dios tenía un plan y que todas las cosas se resolverían al final. Confió en Dios para usar las cosas malas para un plan mayor que glorificaría a Dios.
Oración
Señor, quiero tener una fe como la de Job. Perdóname cuando dude de tu bondad en los malos tiempos.

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold. (JOB 23:10)
Have you ever felt abandoned by God? That’s a normal feeling, especially when you’ve been blindsided by an unexpected disappointment. When your dog dies, your best friend moves away, or you get news that your grandmother has cancer, you feel so alone. Or if you’ve ever been accused of doing something you didn’t do, you hurt pretty badly. Then there are those times when you end up suffering for something stupid someone else did. You can’t help but wonder where God is at times like that. It seems like he is unaware. It feels like he doesn’t care.
That was Job’s experience. He was a good guy who loved God. He had an enviable life. But then out of the blue came darkness. Yet Job didn’t turn into a bitter man. The fiery trials that he faced revealed a precious faith that shimmered like gold. Job was convinced that God knew exactly what was playing out in his life. Job was able to believe that God had a plan and that all things would work out in the end. He trusted God to use the bad stuff for a bigger plan that would glorify God.
Prayer
Lord, I want to have faith like Job. Forgive me when I doubt your goodness in bad times.
