El que fue sembrado entre espinos, este es el que oye la palabra, pero el afán de este siglo y el engaño de las riquezas ahogan la palabra, y se hace infructuosa.

La Palabra de Dios nos enseña a estudiarla y meditarla. Mientras más pensemos en la verdad que leemos y escuchamos, más obtendremos de ella. Meditar la Palabra de Dios puede convertir la información que leemos en las revelaciones que necesitamos.
Cuando la semilla de la Palabra de Dios es sembrada en nuestros corazones, Satanás viene de inmediato a intentar robarla (Marcos 4:15). Él no quiere que escuchemos o estudiemos la Palabra de Dios, pero si lo hacemos, no quiere que pensemos mucho en ella. Él sabe que, si meditamos la Palabra, se hará parte de nosotros y vamos a obedecerla.
Intentará distraernos dándonos motivo de preocupación, pero podemos elegir aferrarnos a nuestra paz y confiar en Dios cada vez que un problema se presente. Satanás también nos miente sobre la importancia de la riqueza y nos engaña para que la persigamos, en lugar de mantener a Dios y su Palabra como prioridad en nuestra vida. Recordemos que Jesús dice que, si buscamos primero el Reino de Dios y su justicia, todo lo demás nos será añadido (Mateo 6:33).

“Padre, ayúdame a mantener mi mente llena de pensamientos sobre tu maravillosa Palabra y todas las magníficas cosas que has hecho y haces todos los días. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.

The worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

God’s Word teaches us to study it and meditate on it. The more thought we give to the truth we read or hear, the more we will get out of it. Meditating on God’s Word can turn the information we read into the revelation we need.
When the seed of God’s Word is sown in our hearts, Satan comes immediately to try to steal it (Mark 4:15). He doesn’t want us to hear or study the Word, but if we do, he doesn’t want us to think about it. He knows that if we do ponder the Word, it will become part of us, and we will obey it.
He will try to distract us by giving us something to worry about, but we can choose to hold on to our peace and trust God with every problem that arises. Satan also lies to us about the importance of wealth and deceives us into chasing it instead of keeping God and His Word first place in our lives. Let us remember that Jesus says if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, everything else will be added to us (Matthew 6:33).

“Father, help me keep my mind full of thoughts about Your wonderful Word and all the magnificent things You have done and are doing every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
