Es algo muy importante creer que fuimos creados a la imagen de Dios. Nos da un sentido de valor que nos permite ser felices y tener una vida plena. Por esta razón creo que la teoría de la evolución es peligrosa. Enseña que el ser humano proviene de los simios y yo no veo cómo esa imagen nos otorga un verdadero valor. Si todo lo que soy proviene de un animal, ¿por qué no voy a actuar como uno?
El mundo está lleno de gente insegura que busca valor en los lugares equivocados. Si tan solo supieran que son creados a imagen y semejanza de Dios, moldeados con sus propias manos —con cuidado, intrincados, con detalle y para un propósito—, encontrarían seguridad en saber que él los ama y que le pertenecen.
Además de ser creados a imagen de Dios, cuando volvemos a nacer (cuando recibimos a Jesús como nuestro Señor y Salvador), recibimos una nueva naturaleza, su naturaleza. Dios nos equipa para ser todo lo que él quiere que seamos y lo único que necesitamos hacer es creer y actuar en concordancia. Tú tienes un valor infinito y eres un ser sumamente amado.

“Padre, gracias por crearme a tu imagen. Qué gran privilegio es tener la habilidad de emularte y mostrarle tu naturaleza al mundo. Soy tu embajador y pido ayuda para que pueda representarte bien. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Believing we are created in the image of God is very important. It gives us a sense of worth and value, which we all need in order to live happy, fulfilling lives. This is one reason I think the theory of evolution is dangerous. It teaches that human beings evolved from apes, and I fail to see how that image assigns true value to us. If all I am is an animal, then why not act like one?
The world is filled with insecure people who look for value in all the wrong places. If they only knew that they are created in the image of God, with His own hand—carefully, intricately, and for a purpose—they would find security in knowing He loves them and that they belong to Him.
In addition to being created in the image of God, when we are born again (receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior) we receive a new nature, His nature. God equips us to be all that He wants us to be, and all we need to do is believe it and act accordingly. You have infinite worth and value, and you are greatly loved.
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for creating me in Your image. What a great privilege it is to have the ability to emulate You and display Your nature to the world. I am Your ambassador, and I pray You will help me represent You well. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
