Quizá alguna vez has caído en la trampa de pensar: “si tan solo pudiera comprar esa cosa, estaría satisfecho” o: “si mis hijos se comportaran, estaría satisfecho”; tal vez: “si pudiera obtener ese trabajo, estaría satisfecho”; o podría ser: “si mi pareja solamente hiciera eso, estaría satisfecho”; quizá: “si pudiera tener una casa más grande, estaría satisfecho”.
La mayoría de nosotros podríamos hacer una lista de cosas que pensamos van a satisfacernos. Es fácil, pero no funciona. El problema es que la satisfacción que viene de algo o alguien que no es Dios, es pasajera. Puede hacerte feliz por unos días, pero nunca te dará un gozo profundo y duradero.
En el versículo de hoy, vemos que David halló la clave de la satisfacción en su relación con Dios. Ese es el único lugar donde cualquiera de nosotros será verdaderamente satisfecho. No importa lo que desees, el verdadero anhelo de tu corazón es Dios y nada más. Te animo hoy a que busques a Dios con todo tu corazón, lo mismo que a pasar tiempo en su presencia. Háblale a lo largo del día y acércate cada día más a él.

“Padre, solo tú puedes satisfacerme completamente. Gracias por ser todo lo que quiero y necesito. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
FULLY SATISFIED
As for me, I shall see Your face in righteousness; I will be [fully] satisfied when I awake [to find myself] seeing Your likeness.
—PSALM 17:15 AMP
Have you ever fallen into the trap of thinking, If I could just buy that thing, I would be satisfied. Or, If my children would just behave, I would be satisfied. Or, If I could just get that job, I would be satisfied. Or, If my spouse would only do that, I would be satisfied. Or, If we could just get a bigger house, I would be satisfied.
Most of us can come up with a long list of things we think would satisfy us. It’s easy to do, but it doesn’t work. The problem is that the satisfaction that comes from anything or anyone other than God is temporary. It might make you happy for a few days, but it would never give you deep, long-lasting joy.
As we read today’s scripture, we see that David found the key to satisfaction, and it was in his relationship with God. That’s the only place any of us will ever be satisfied. No matter what you long for, your heart’s true craving is for God alone. I encourage you today to seek Him with all your heart and to spend time in His presence, talking to Him throughout your day and growing closer to Him.
Prayer:
“Father, only You can satisfy me completely. Thank You for being all that I want and all that I need. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
