Ahora que tienes un tiempo de quietud, estás tratando de acercarte a Jesús. Eso es algo muy bueno. Pero considera: ¿te estás acercando a su trono de gracia con un espíritu humilde? ¿Estás buscando al Señor para conocerlo y comprender el camino que tiene para ti? ¿O lo estás haciendo con una agenda, con una lista de peticiones o un plan propio que quieres que Él bendiga?
Buscar al Señor con un espíritu humilde significa que tienes una visión correcta de la autoridad de Dios en tu vida, lo cual es esencial para cultivar un sentido de su presencia. Reconoces el poder soberano del Padre en cuanto a las personas y las circunstancias, y admites que tiene una hoja de ruta para tu vida mejor que la tuya. Si tu deseo es decirle lo que tiene que hacer, da un paso atrás y reconsidera tus intenciones. Tienes acceso al Dios de toda la creación, a aquel que todo lo ve, todo lo puede y todo lo sabe. Escúchalo y obedécelo. Él sabe más. Él tiene todo lo que te concierne en la palma de su mano.

Humbly Seek
These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.

You are having a quiet time today, so that means you’re trying to draw near to Jesus. That is a very good thing. But consider, are you approaching His throne of grace with a humble spirit? Are you seeking the Lord to know Him and learn His path for you? Or are you doing so with an agenda—with a list of requests or a plan of your own that you want Him to bless?
Seeking the Lord with a humble spirit means that you have a right view of God’s authority in your life, which is essential for cultivating a sense of His abiding presence. You recognize the Father’s sovereign power over people and circumstances and acknowledge that He has a better road map for your life than you do. If your desire is to tell Him what to do, then take a step back and reconsider your intentions. You have access to the God of all creation—the One who sees all, is all-powerful, and is all-wise. Listen to and obey Him. He knows best. And He has all that concerns you in the palm of His hand.

Jesus, I draw near in humility. You are God. Lead me in Your perfect path. Amen.
