¿Alguna vez has presenciado una escena entre dos hermanos revoltosos tratando de no meterse en problemas luego de haber roto algo delicado, por hacer lo que tenían prohibido? Lo más probable es que uno culpe al otro o ambos al perro. Es raro que el culpable confiese. Así es la naturaleza humana y así ha sido desde que el primer hombre y la primera mujer, fueron creados.
En el Jardín del Edén, Dios sabía que Adán y Eva habían pecado. Adán culpaba a Eva y Eva culpaba a la serpiente, como vemos en el versículo de hoy. Ambos habían pecado, pero ninguno aceptó la responsabilidad por sus acciones.
La renuencia a admitir nuestra responsabilidad, es una de las razones principales por la cual la gente es infeliz y fracasa en la vida. Culpar a alguien más cuando algo sale mal es señal de inmadurez.
Para ser lo que Dios quiere que seamos y poder disfrutar plenamente del plan Divino para nosotros, debemos aprender a asumir nuestra culpa cuando sea apropiado hacerlo. Puede que no siempre sea fácil o agradable, pero sin duda será lo correcto.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a asumir la responsabilidad de mis acciones y errores siempre que necesite hacerlo. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Have you ever witnessed a scene between two rowdy siblings who don’t want to get in trouble for breaking a fragile item while doing something they weren’t supposed to be doing? Chances are, each one blames the accident on the other—or on the dog. Rarely does the culprit confess immediately. That’s called human nature, and it’s been going on since the first man and the first woman were created.
In the Garden of Eden, God knew that Adam and Eve had sinned. Adam blamed Eve, and Eve blamed the serpent, as we see in today’s scripture. Both Adam and Eve sinned, but neither accepted responsibility for their actions.
Unwillingness to take responsibility for one’s own actions is a major reason some people are unhappy and unsuccessful. Blaming someone else when things go wrong is a sign of immaturity.
To become everything God wants us to be and to enjoy the fullness of His good plan for our lives, we must learn to take personal responsibility whenever it is appropriate to do so. It may not always be comfortable or easy, but it is always the right thing to do.
Prayer
“Father, help me to take personal responsibility for my actions and mistakes in every situation when I need to do so. Amen.”
