Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Mirad que nadie os engañe.

Ser engañado consiste en creer cosas que no son ciertas. Incluso, aunque no sean verdad, se hacen realidad para nosotros porque las creemos. Jesús dice que en los últimos días el engaño será abundante (Mateo 24:3-25).
Esto significa que conforme nos acercamos a la segunda venida de Jesús, Satanás mentirá más y más. Ya estamos a punto de estar tan inundados con noticias y contenidos de las redes sociales, que es difícil saber qué creer y qué no. Solo escuchar o leer algo, no significa que sea cierto. Necesitamos gran cantidad de discernimiento Divino y deberíamos rogar por él regularmente.
Eva fue engañada por las mentiras de Satanás. Él atacó su mente, al igual que ataca las nuestras. Ella debió haber creído la Palabra de Dios más que cualquier otra cosa, pero no lo hizo. su negativa a creer en la Palabra de Dios les robó la vida que Dios pretendía que ellos disfrutaran en el Jardín del Edén. La Palabra de Dios es la única verdad y si la creemos con todo nuestro corazón, podemos esquivar el engaño.
No solo las mentiras que vemos y escuchamos pueden engañarnos, sino que también podemos engañarnos a nosotros mismos. Santiago dijo que debemos ser: “hacedores de la Palabra” y no solo escuchas, de lo contrario, nos engañaremos al razonar en contra de la verdad (Santiago 1:22). Cada vez que desobedecemos a Dios, parece que siempre tenemos una razón para ello, pero los motivos no son excusa para la desobediencia.
Ten cuidado de analizar demasiado la Palabra de Dios y sencillamente obedécela. Esto te ayudará a protegerte contra cualquier engaño.
Oración:
“Padre, ¡oro para que no me engañen! Ayúdame a tener la perspicacia y el discernimiento necesarios y siempre confiar y valorar tu Palabra por encima de cualquier otra cosa. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
A DECEIVED MIND
Watch out that no one deceives you.
—MATTHEW 24:4
To be deceived is to believe things that are not true. Even though they are not true, they become reality to us because we believe them. Jesus says that deception will be great in the last days (Matthew 24:3–25). This means that the closer we get to Jesus’ return, the more the lies of Satan will increase. We are already at the point of being so flooded with news and social media content that it is difficult to know what to believe and what not to believe. Simply hearing or reading something doesn’t make it true. We need a great deal of God’s discernment and should pray for it regularly.
Eve was deceived by the lies of Satan. He attacked her mind, just as he attacks ours. She should have believed God’s Word to her more than anything else, but she didn’t. Her refusal to believe God’s Word stole the life God intended her and Adam to enjoy in the Garden. God’s Word is the only truth, and if we believe it with our whole heart, we can avoid deception.
Not only can we be deceived by what we see and hear, but we can also deceive ourselves. James said we must be “doers of the Word,” and not merely hearers, or we will deceive ourselves “by reasoning contrary to the Truth” (James 1:22 AMPC). Anytime we disobey God, we always seem to have a reason, but reasons do not excuse disobedience.
Be careful of overthinking God’s Word, and simply obey it. This will help you protect yourself against deception.
Prayer:
“Father, I pray that I will not be deceived! Help me to be discerning and always to trust and value Your Word above anything else I hear. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
