Tenemos un enemigo, Satanás, que viene contra nosotros en un esfuerzo por robar nuestra fe en Jesús y evitar que lo sirvamos con pasión. Una forma en que lo hace, es provocando la persecución tanto de gente que conocemos como de otra que no. Puede inclusive venir a través de amigos y familiares de quienes esperaríamos que nos amaran y ayudaran.
Experimentamos rechazos, insultos y pérdida de amistades, y puede que incluso encontremos que familiares nos dan la espalda a causa de nuestra fe en Cristo. ¿Por qué? Ellos hacen esto porque no están listos para el mismo compromiso que hemos hecho nosotros y es más fácil para ellos encontrar algo malo en nosotros que afrontar la verdad sobre sí mismos. Cuando esto ocurre en tu vida, no te enojes con la gente que te ataca, sino ora por ellos y pídele a Dios que los bendiga, como la Biblia nos enseñó a hacer (Mateo 5:43-47).
Según el Sermón del monte (Mateo 5:10), aquellos que son perseguidos por causa de la justicia son considerados bienaventurados. Él dice que debemos regocijarnos y alegrarnos porque nuestra recompensa será grande en el cielo. La gente puede decirte todo tipo de malignidades, pero nunca olvides que ellos trataron de la misma forma a Jesús. Permanece obediente a Dios. Resiste al diablo y él huirá de ti (Santiago 4:7).
Oración:
“Padre, fortaléceme cuando sea perseguido a causa de mi fe en ti. Ayúdame a nunca rendirme o comprometerme por obtener el favor de otras personas. Gracias. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.

We have an enemy, Satan, who comes against us in an effort to steal our faith in Jesus and prevent us from passionately serving Him. One way he does this is by bringing persecution from people we know as well as from those we don’t. It may even come through friends and family we would expect to love and help us.
We experience rejection, insults, and the loss of friends, and we may even find that family members turn against us due to our faith in Christ. Why? They do this because they are not ready to make the same commitment we have made, and it is easier to find something wrong with us than to face the truth about themselves. When this happens in your life, don’t be angry with the people who come against you, but pray for them and ask God to bless them, as Scripture teaches us to do (Matthew 5:43–47).
Those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake are considered blessed, according to Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:10). He says that we are to rejoice and be glad because our reward will be great in heaven. People may say all kinds of evil things against you because of Jesus, but never forget that they treated Him the same way. Remain obedient to God; resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7).

“Father, strengthen me when I am persecuted because of my faith in You. Help me to never give up or compromise in order to gain the favor of other people. Thank You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
