Creo que la mejor manera de empezar cada día es hablando con Dios. Aparentemente, esto es lo que el salmista David hacía y estaba seguro de que Dios escuchaba su voz. David marcaba la pauta para su día, haciéndole ver a Dios sus necesidades y esperando expectante la respuesta de Dios.
¿Cómo empiezas cada día? ¿Comienzas por virar tu corazón hacia Dios en oración, confiando en que él te escucha y creyendo que responderá? O empiezas tu día pensando en que tienes que llevar a tus hijos a la escuela, en el trabajo amontonado sobre tu escritorio o las malas hierbas que necesitas arrancar del jardín. ¿Piensas en una conversación complicada que debes tener ese día o en una decisión importante que hay que tomar?
No tienes que permitir que el estrés de la vida marque el tono de tu día. Tú, tal como David, puedes empezar el día poniendo tus peticiones delante de Dios y esperando con confiada expectación, que él responderá de la manera adecuada, en el momento justo. Decide hoy que, de ahora en adelante, según el versículo de hoy, vas a tener tus días preparados para un buen comienzo.
Oración:
“Padre, creo que me escuchas cuando oro y espero expectante a que me respondas. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
IN THE MORNING
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
—PSALM 5:3
I believe the best way to start each day is by talking to God. Apparently, this is what the psalmist David did, and he was confident that God heard his voice. David set the tone for his day by letting God know what he needed and choosing to wait expectantly for God to answer.
How do you start each day? Do you begin by turning your heart toward God in prayer, confident that He hears you and believing He will answer? Or do you begin by thinking about getting children off to school, or the work piled up on your desk, or the weeds you need to pull in the garden? Do you think about a difficult conversation you will need to have that day or about an important decision you need to make?
You do not have to let life’s stresses set the tone for your day. You, like David, can begin the day by laying your requests before God and waiting with confident expectation that He will answer in just the right way at just the right time. Decide today that from now on, based on today’s scripture, you will get your days off to a good start.

“Father, I believe You hear me when I pray, and I wait expectantly for You to answer me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
