La Biblia nos enseña que caminar en amor es la forma óptima de vivir (1 Corintio 12:32). Dios es amor y cuando caminamos en amor, caminamos y vivimos en él (1 Juan 4:16). El amor es más que una palabra que usamos cuando hablamos con otras personas. Se muestra en nuestras acciones, especialmente en cómo tratamos a los demás.
Jesús nos dio un mandamiento más, y es que nos amemos unos a otros como él nos ama. Mientras demostremos ese amor, otros sabrán que somos sus discípulos (Juan 13:34-35). El amor de Dios por nosotros requirió que sacrificara a su único Hijo, y si realmente queremos amar a los demás, también vamos a tener que sacrificarnos por ellos.
Según 1 Corintios 13:4-8, el amor no es egoísta, es paciente, bondadoso, humilde y no envidioso. No deshonra a los demás y no se enoja con facilidad, no guarda rencor y no se deleita en el mal. Se regocija con la verdad. Siempre cree lo mejor de cada uno y nunca falla. Si nos enfocamos en amar a Dios y amar a otras personas, tendremos la vida que él quiere que vivamos. No importa las supuestas buenas obras que hagamos, si no tenemos amor, solo hacemos mucho ruido y gran cantidad de nada (1 Corintios 13:1-3).

“Padre, quiero caminar en la clase de amor que tú me muestras, pero necesito tu ayuda. Enséñame qué es el amor y cómo puedo demostrarlo a los demás. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
THE MOST EXCELLENT WAY
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

The Bible teaches us that walking in love is the most excellent way to live (1 Corinthians 12:31). God is love, and when we walk in love, we are walking and living in Him (1 John 4:16). Love is more than a word we use when speaking to other people. It is seen in our actions, especially in how we treat other people.
Jesus gave us one new command, which is for us to love one another just as He loves us. As we show that love, others will know that we are His disciples (John 13:34–35). God’s love for us required Him to sacrifice His only Son, and if we truly want to love people, there will be times when we will also need to sacrifice for them.
According to 1 Corinthians 13:4–8, love is not self-seeking; it is patient, kind, humble, and not envious. It does not dishonor others, is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, and doesn’t delight in evil. It rejoices with the truth. It always believes the best of everyone, and it never fails. If we focus on loving God and loving other people, we will live the life that He desires for us to live.
No matter what so-called good works we may do, if we don’t have love, we simply make a lot of noise and amount to nothing (1 Corinthians 13:1–3).

“Father, I want to walk in the kind of love You show to me, but I need Your help. Teach me what love is and how to show it to other people. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
