Entonces Josafat se inclinó rostro a tierra, y asimismo todo Judá y los moradores de Jerusalén se postraron delante de Jehová, y adoraron a Jehová.

Una de mis historias favoritas del Antiguo Testamento, es la historia de Josafat, un rey que guio al pueblo de Dios a una poderosa victoria, porque entendió dos principios fundamentales: primero, supo que esa no era su batalla sino de Dios, por lo tanto, sabía que Dios iba a luchar por él (2 Crónicas 20:15). Segundo, entendió el poder de la adoración.
Mientras Josafat y su pueblo se preparaban para la batalla, el Espíritu de Dios les habló diciendo: “No habrá para qué peleéis vosotros en este caso; paraos, estad quietos, y ved la salvación de Jehová con vosotros. Oh, Judá y Jerusalén, no temáis ni desmayéis; salid mañana contra ellos, porque Jehová estará con vosotros” (2 Crónicas 20:17). Podríamos pensar que en respuesta a este discurso la gente tomó sus armas y corrió a ocupar sus puestos en el campo de batalla, pero no lo hicieron; Josafat y toda su gente se postraron ante Dios y lo adoraron. Además, los levitas comenzaron a alabarlo “con fuerte y alta voz” (2 Crónicas 20:19). Y, por supuesto, ganaron la batalla, justo como les dijo el Espíritu de Dios que ocurriría.
Sea cual sea la contienda que enfrentes hoy, toma tu posición, alabando y adorando al Señor. Alabar y adorar a Dios te dará fortaleza y derrotará al enemigo. Hay verdadero poder —poder espiritual—, en la adoración.
Oración:
“Padre, hoy elijo encarar mis luchas con alabanza y adoración. Gracias por pelear por mí, por estar conmigo y por darme la victoria. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
THE POWER OF WORSHIP
Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord.

One of my favorite Old Testament stories is the story of Jehoshaphat, a king who led God’s people to a mighty victory because he understood two key principles. First, he understood that the battle was not his, but God’s. Therefore, he knew that God would fight for him (2 Chronicles 20:15). Second, he understood the power of worship.
As Jehoshaphat and his people prepared for battle, the Spirit of God spoke to them, saying, “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you” (2 Chronicles 20:17). We might think, in response to these words, that the people grabbed their weapons and ran to their positions on the battlefield. But they didn’t. Jehoshaphat and all the people fell before the Lord and worshipped Him. In addition, the Levites began to praise “with a very loud voice” (2 Chronicles 20:19). And of course, they won the battle, just as the Spirit of God had told them they would.
Whatever battle you are facing today, take your position in praise and worship. Praising and worshipping God will strengthen you and defeat the enemy. There is real power—spiritual power—in worship.
Prayer:
“Father, I choose today to face my battles with praise and worship. Thank You for fighting for me, for being with me, and for giving me victory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
