Someteos, pues, a Dios; resistid al diablo, y huirá de vosotros. —SANTIAGO 4:7
Para resistir al diablo, debemos reconocer sus ataques. Él personifica al mentiroso. Solo sabe cómo mentir y lo que nos dice, poniendo pensamientos en nuestras mentes, nunca está de acuerdo con la Palabra de Dios, a menos que la ponga fuera de contexto.
Mientras más conocemos la Palabra de Dios, más pronto somos capaces de reconocer las mentiras de Satanás. Si nos sometemos a Dios, honrando su Palabra sobre todas las cosas, podremos resistir al diablo y él huirá de nosotros.
Romanos 12:21, donde dice que podemos vencer al mal con el bien, es uno de mis versículos favoritos. El diablo solo roba, mata y destruye (Juan 10:10), pero no importa lo que trate de hacer, si continuamos obedeciendo a Dios y haciendo el bien a los demás, siempre lo derrotaremos.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a reconocer y a resistir el trabajo del enemigo en mi contra, y a vivir cada día según la verdad de tu Palabra. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
RESIST THE DEVIL
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
—JAMES 4:7
In order to resist the devil, we must recognize when he is attacking us. His character is that of a liar. He only knows how to lie, and what he says to us by putting thoughts into our minds is never in agreement with God’s Word unless he is taking it out of context.
The more we know God’s Word, the quicker we will recognize the lies of Satan. If we submit to God by honoring His Word above all else, we can then resist the devil, and he will flee from us.
Romans 12:21, which says that we overcome evil with good, is one of my favorite scriptures. The devil only steals, kills, and destroys (John 10:10), but no matter what he tries to do, if we continue obeying God and being good to people, we will always defeat him.
Prayer:
“Father, help me to recognize and resist the work of the enemy against me and to live each day according to the truth of Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
