Muchos cristianos reconocerán: «He perdido mi gozo». Sin embargo, cuando les preguntas: «¿Cuándo fue la última vez que le hablaste a alguien sobre Jesucristo?», la respuesta habitual es: «Hace mucho tiempo». El gozo procede de desarrollar una actitud de gratitud y de compartir nuestro conocimiento de las Buenas Nuevas. Tu mayor gozo llegará cuando comprometas tu vida a Cristo y el segundo regocijo será cuando le presentes a otras personas.
Imagina la escena en el cielo: alguien a quien le has hablado de Jesús viene y te dice: «Quiero darte las gracias. Estoy aquí, porque te preocupaste lo bastante de compartir a jesús conmigo». Esa sería una razón para regocijarse. Sin embargo, este comienza aquí en la tierra cuando llevas a otros a la familia de Dios.
El apóstol Pablo afirmó: «El deseo de mi corazón, y mi oración a Dios por los israelitas, es que lleguen a ser salvos» (Romanos 10.1). Pídele a Dios que te dé una carga como esa. Te llevará al gozo verdadero.
Oración
Jesús, reconozco que no siempre me apetece hablarles a los demás niños sobre ti. Dame un corazón lleno de amor por aquellos que no te han encontrado aún.
Day 347 – Joy Forever
I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
(LUKE 15:10)
Many Christians will say, “I’ve lost my joy.” But when you ask them, “When was the last time you told someone about Jesus Christ?” they usually answer, “A long time ago.” Joy comes from developing an attitude of gratitude and sharing our knowledge of the Good News. Your greatest joy will come when you commit your life to Christ, and your second greatest joy will be to introduce others to him.
Imagine the scene in Heaven: someone you told about Jesus comes over to you and says, “I want to thank you. I am here because you cared enough to share Jesus with me.” Now that will be a reason for joy. But that joy begins here on Earth when you bring others into the family of God.
The apostle Paul said, “My heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation” (Romans 10:1, NASB). Ask God to give you a burden like that. It will lead to true joy.
Prayer
Jesus, I admit that I don’t always feel like talking to other kids about you. Give me a heart full of love for those who have not yet found you.
