Entre los que habían subido a adorar en la fiesta había algunos griegos. Éstos se acercaron a Felipe, que era de Betsaida de Galilea, y le pidieron: Señor, queremos ver a Jesús.

Grecia está a una gran distancia de Israel. Sin embargo, los griegos mencionados en Juan 12 habían recorrido el largo camino para asistir a la festividad judía de Jerusalén. Tenían la suficiente curiosidad con respecto a lo que los judíos creían sobre Dios, como para ir a su fiesta. Por tanto, cabe suponer que estaban espiritualmente sedientos. De alguna manera habían escuchado hablar sobre Jesús. Cuando descubrieron que Felipe conocía a Jesús personalmente, le preguntaron si podía organizar un encuentro con él.
Si eres lo bastante serio en tu relación con Jesús, es probable que no sea ningún secreto. Es bastante posible que los niños de tu escuela sepan que acudes a la iglesia los domingos y también al grupo de jóvenes. ¡Eso está bien! Si te piden que les presentes a Jesús, es todavía mejor.
Con esto en mente, empieza a pensar en lo que le dirías a alguien que te haga preguntas sobre el Señor. Podría comenzar con algo sencillo. Tal vez podrías invitar a esa persona a la iglesia.
Felipe fue a su amigo Andrés, porque no estaba del todo seguro sobre qué responderles a los griegos. Empieza a pedirle al Señor que pique la curiosidad de algunos de tus compañeros de clase en cuanto a tu fe y que te dé sabiduría con respecto a dónde deberías ir para hallar las respuestas que desconoces.
Oración
Jesús, soy serio con respecto a ti, pero no siempre sé qué decir sobre mi fe o sobre quién eres tú. Te ruego que me proporciones las palabras adecuadas en el momento correcto.
Day 345 – Spill It
Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.”

Greece is a long way from Israel. But the Greeks mentioned in John 12 had made the lengthy trip to be at a Jewish festival in Jerusalem. They were curious enough about what the Jews believed about God to go to their festival. So it’s safe to assume they were spiritually thirsty. Somehow they had heard about Jesus. When they found out that Philip knew Jesus personally, they asked him if he could arrange for them to meet Jesus.
If you are serious about your relationship with Jesus, it probably isn’t a secret. It is quite possible that kids at your school know you go to church on Sundays and to youth group. That’s a good thing! If they ask you to introduce them to Jesus, well, that’s an even better thing.
With that in mind, start thinking about what you would say to someone who asks you about the Lord. You could start with something simple. Maybe you could invite that person to church.
Philip went to his friend Andrew because Philip wasn’t quite sure what to say to the Greeks. Start asking the Lord to make some of your classmates curious about your faith and for wisdom about where you should go for answers you don’t know.
Prayer
Jesus, I am serious about you, but I don’t always know what to say about my faith or who you are. Please give me the right words at the right time.
