Saben lo mal que nos trataron en Filipos y cuánto sufrimos allí justo antes de verlos a ustedes. Aun así, nuestro Dios nos dio el valor de anunciarles la Buena Noticia con valentía, a pesar de gran oposición.

Hablar de Jesús puede ser difícil. Los amigos nos miran con una cara rara. Los maestros creen que somos bobos. Pablo se las sabía todas a este respecto. Pero las personas no se conformaban con mirarlo extrañadas; también lo torturaron. Lo encarcelaron. Lo dejaron pasar hambre.
Con todo, Pablo seguía atreviéndose a compartir el mensaje divino. Tenía miedo, por supuesto. Le inquietaba lo que podía suceder. Sin embargo, con la ayuda de Dios estaba decidido a hablarles a todos acerca de Jesús.
Es normal que te sientas nervioso al hablarles de Jesús a tus amigos. No pasa nada porque te asuste compartir tu fe. Temer o estar nervioso no está mal. Pablo también sentía estas cosas. Le pidió ayuda a Dios y este le dio valor. En ocasiones era Dios mismo quien le decía que era el momento de marcharse de un lugar. Dios te dará valentía a ti también y te mostrará cuando es el momento oportuno.
Pídele que te ayude a hablar de Jesús. Pídele que te proporcione solo las palabras adecuadas. Y cuando llegue la hora, lo sabrás. Serás valiente y atrevido. Atrévete a testificar.
Oración
Señor, quiero hablar de ti. Quiero que mis amigos, mis maestros y mi familia te conozcan. Ayúdame a ser fuerte y valiente.
Day 340 – Divine Courage
We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition.
(1 THESSALONIANS 2:2)
Talking about Jesus can be tough. Friends look at us funny. Teachers think we’re silly. Paul knew all about that. But people didn’t just look at him funny; they also tortured Paul. Put him in prison. Starved him.
Yet Paul still dared to continue sharing God’s message. Paul was scared. He was worried about what might happen. But with God’s help, he was determined to tell the people about Jesus.
It’s okay If you’re nervous about telling friends about Jesus. It’s okay if you get scared to share your faith. Being scared or nervous isn’t wrong. Paul felt those things too. He asked God for help, and God gave him courage. And sometimes God told him it was time to leave. God will give you courage too and show you when the time is right.
Ask God to help you talk about Jesus. Ask him for just the right words. And when the time comes, you’ll know. You’ll be brave and bold. Dare to tell.
Prayer
Lord, I want to talk about you. I want my friends, my teachers, and my family to know you. Help me to be strong and courageous.
