La parte más importante de un edificio son sus cimientos. Todo en un edificio se construye sobre sus cimientos, por ello, si no son sólidos, la estructura completa estará en riesgo de sufrir muchos problemas. Si no están nivelados o se agrietan, el edificio no es seguro. Bajo ciertas circunstancias, podría desmoronarse o colapsar.
Lo mismo que un edificio tiene cimientos físicos, tú tienes una base moral y espiritual y construyes tu vida sobre ella. El mundo ofrece muchas opciones para tu fundación. Puedes elegir construir tu vida sobre tu educación, tus habilidades y
talentos, tu éxito profesional, tu familia, tus logros, tu reputación ante la gente y un sinnúmero de otros aspectos. Pero todos ellos resultarán defectuosos. En algún momento, se debilitarán o agrietarán.
La única base firme en la vida es la Palabra de Dios. Puedes construir cada aspecto de tu vida sobre su Palabra y nunca va a agrietarse o perder fuerza. Nada puede destruirla y nada puede apartarte de ella. Mientras tengas esos cimientos, podrás caminar en verdad y poder todos los días de tu vida.
Oración:
“Padre, ayúdame a construir mi vida sobre los firmes cimientos de tu Palabra. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
A STRONG FOUNDATION
When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?
—PSALM 11:3
The most important part of a building is its foundation. Everything about a building is built on the foundation, so if it is not strong, the whole structure is at risk for all kinds of problems. If it is not level or if it cracks, the building is not safe. Under certain circumstances, it could crumble or collapse.
Just as a building has a physical foundation, you have a moral and spiritual foundation, and you build your life on it. The world offers many options for your foundation. You may choose to build your life on your education, your gifts or talents, your professional success, your family, your achievements, your reputation with people, or any number of other things. But all of them will prove faulty. At some point, they will all weaken or crack.
The only firm foundation in life is God’s Word. You can build every aspect of your life on His Word, and it will never crack or weaken. Nothing can destroy it, and nothing can take it away from you. As long as you have that foundation, you can walk in truth and power all the days of your life.
Prayer:
“Father, help me to build my life upon the firm foundation of Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
