Pero Dios escogió lo insensato del mundo para avergonzar a los sabios, y escogió lo débil del mundo para avergonzar a los poderosos.

Dios no se ha limitado jamás a preocuparse por la gente fuerte. De hecho, ama a quienes son débiles y lo reconoce. Todo el mundo tiene debilidades. En realidad, tú también tienes un puñado de debilidades en tu vida. ¿Lo reconoces? ¡No siempre! En vez de ello buscamos excusas, ocultamos o negamos nuestras debilidades.
¿Sabes una cosa? Dios permitió deliberadamente ciertas debilidades en tu vida para poder usarlas. Tal vez hayas pensado que Dios solo quiere usar tus puntos fuertes, pero también quiere servirse de tus puntos débiles para su gloria. En realidad, ser «pobre de espíritu» es la primera actitud que Jesús bendice (Mateo 5.3).
La Biblia está repleta de ejemplos de cómo le gusta a Dios usar a personas ordinarias, con debilidades regulares, para llevar a cabo cosas extraordinarias. ¡Resulta alentador saberlo!

¡Vaya, Señor! Sí que vivía Juan el Bautista en condiciones extremas. ¿Estoy yo hecho para un ministerio especial como el de él? Necesito que me prepares para cualquier llamado que tengas para mí.
Day 313 – Ordinary Is Extraordinary!
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.
(1 CORINTHIANS 1:27, NASB)
God has never only cared about super strong people. In fact, he loves people who are weak and who admit it. Everyone has weaknesses. In fact, you have a bundle of weaknesses too. Do you ever admit that? Not usually! Instead we usually excuse, hide, or deny our weaknesses.
Guess what—God deliberately allowed weaknesses in your life so he can use them. You may have thought God only wants to use your strengths, but he wants to use your weaknesses for his glory too. In fact being “poor in spirit” is the number one attitude Jesus blesses (Matthew 5:3).
The Bible Is filled with examples of how God loves to use ordinary people with regular weaknesses to do extraordinary things. That’s encouraging news!
Prayer
God, I’m glad I don’t have to hide anything from you, including my weaknesses. Thank you for loving me and my struggles.
