¿Sabes que algunos inventos se descubrieron durante la época bíblica? En realidad, ¿te detienes a pensar en los que usas cada día? Piensa en todos esos que hacen que tu día transcurra sin tanta dificultad: los boles para los cereales del desayuno. Los tenedores y los cuchillos para comer. El calentador de agua y el grifo para limpiar. Un lavabo para que no tengas que ir al patio trasero con tu perro. Las mentes creativas surgen con ideas útiles e ingeniosas que mejoran nuestra forma de vivir.
La invención ha estado presente durante siglos. Dios creó a los seres humanos con una mente creativa. Y algunas personas utilizan su creatividad para inventar herramientas, instrumentos, vehículos, música y lenguaje. Uzías, rey e inventor, fabricó nuevas herramientas militares para que sus ejércitos pudieran superar cualquier otro. En aquel tiempo, no había nadie tan vanguardista en la tecnología militar e ingeniería.
Aunque no vayas por ahí dándole gracias a Dios por el invento del inodoro, ¡ya te digo yo que lo echarías enormemente de menos si se rompiera! Así que tómate tiempo hoy para darle gracias a Dios por todos los inventos que usas y que te facilitan la existencia.

Señor, te doy las gracias por la creatividad y los inventos. Son tantas las herramientas que uso a diario sin pensar en quien las inventó. Sin embargo, sé que tú estás detrás de todas esas creaciones.

Did you know that some inventions were made during Bible times? For that matter, do you stop to think about the inventions you use every day? Think of all the inventions that make your day go smoothly: bowls for breakfast cereal. Forks and knives for dinner. A hot water heater and faucet to clean up. A toilet so you don’t have to go in the backyard with your dog. Creative minds come up with useful and ingenious ideas that improve the way we live.
Invention has been around for ages. God created humans with creative minds. And some people get to use their creativity to invent tools, instruments, vehicles, music, and language. Uzziah, a king and an inventor, made new military tools so his armies could beat everyone else. At the time, he was cutting edge in military and engineering technology.
Though you don’t go around thanking God for the invention of the toilet, boy would you miss it if it broke! So take time today to thank God for all the inventions you use that make life easier.

Lord, thank you for creativity and inventions. There are so many tools that I use every day without a thought for who invented it. But I know you are behind all those creations.
