¿Alguna vez has visto una película donde un rey promulga un decreto real? Un decreto real comunica los deseos del gobernante o sus órdenes para el reino. Mucho antes de que existiera la televisión o la internet, el rey firmaba un decreto y más tarde un grupo de mensajeros a caballo entregaba el mensaje a lo largo y ancho del reino, de modo de que la gente supiera qué hacer. Por supuesto que se esperaba que todos los ciudadanos obedecieran el decreto real.
En el versículo de hoy, el salmista escribe que “publicará el decreto del Señor”. En este decreto en particular, Dios declara que Jesús es su único hijo engendrado. Juan 3:16 y Hebreos 1:1-5 también confirman este hecho.
Podemos pensar en la totalidad de la Palabra de Dios como en su decreto real. Él es nuestro Rey y nosotros somos ciudadanos de su reino. Cuando repetimos su Palabra creyendo en ella, nuestras voces llenas de fe ayudan a establecer los deseos y órdenes de Dios en nuestras vidas. Cuando creemos y confesamos sus decretos reales, todo en nuestra vida comienza a cambiar y se alinea con la Voluntad Divina y su buen plan para nosotros.

“Padre, gracias por tu Palabra, tu decreto real. Elijo vivir en obediencia a todo lo que tú has promulgado. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
THE DECREE OF THE LORD
I will declare the decree of the Lord: He said to me, You are My Son; this day [I declare] I have begotten you.

Have you ever seen a movie in which a king issues a royal decree? A royal decree communicates a ruler’s desires or commands for his kingdom. Long before the days of television or the Internet, a king would sign a decree and then a group of messengers would take off on horseback to deliver it across the realm, so everyone would know what to do. All citizens, of course, were expected to obey the royal decree.
In today’s scripture, the psalmist writes that he will “declare the decree of the Lord.” In this particular decree, God declares that Jesus is His only begotten Son. John 3:16 and Hebrews 1:1–5 also affirm this truth.
We can think of the entirety of God’s Word as His royal decree. He is our King, and we are the citizens of His kingdom. When we declare His Word with our mouths, believing it in our hearts, our faith-filled words go forth to establish God’s desires and commands in our lives. When we believe and speak His royal decree, things in our lives begin to change and line up with His will and His good plan for us.
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for Your Word, Your royal decree. I choose to live my life in obedience to all that You have spoken. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
