Pero Jehová había dicho a Abraham: Vete de tu tierra y de tu parentela, y de la casa de tu padre, a la tierra que te mostraré.

Cuando Dios llamó a Abraham a dejar su tierra y su familia, no le informó su destino final o lo que les pasaría, primero a él y más tarde, a través de él. Dios le pidió a Abraham que respondiera a una sola instrucción: dar el primer paso.
Si eres como la mayoría, te gustaría que Dios te diera más de un paso a la vez. Preferirías conocer los pasos dos, tres y cuatro antes de siquiera aventurarte a salir. Preferirías ver el recorrido antes, para darte una idea de hacia dónde te diriges y cuándo llegarás a destino.
El Señor no le dio a Abraham el segundo paso hasta que mostrara su fe dando el primero. Él actúa de la misma forma contigo y conmigo. Revela poco a poco el plan que tiene para nuestras vidas y no veremos el siguiente, hasta que hayamos realizado lo que nos exigió en primer término. Con cada paso que damos, nuestra fe aumenta y conforme damos saltos de fe, vemos que estamos cumpliendo con la voluntad Divina para nuestras vidas.
Oración:
“Padre, gracias por guiarme un paso a la vez. Dame la fe que necesito para seguirte poco a poco. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén”.
ONE STEP AT A TIME
The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.”
—GENESIS 12:1
When God called Abraham to leave his home and his family, He did not inform him of his final destination or tell him all that would happen to him and through him in the future. He asked him to respond to one instruction: to take just one step.
If you are like many people, you would like for God to give you more than one step at a time. You might like to know steps two, three, and four before you ever venture out. You want to see the entire path before you and to know where it leads and when you will get there.
God didn’t give Abraham step two until he had taken his first step by faith. He works the same way with you and me. He unfolds His plan for our lives little by little, and we don’t see the next thing until we have done the first thing He asks us to do. With each step we take, our faith increases, and as we take each step by faith, we find ourselves fulfilling God’s great purpose for our lives.
Prayer:
“Father, thank You for leading me one step at a time. Give me the faith I need to follow You little by little, every single day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
